We followed up immediately, asking for a second (altered) quote to better fit our actual needs. The rep texted back that they would come out the following week. They never came / no contact from them. After I reached out again, they said we were on the schedule for another date, which came and went with no visit or message. After that I could get no response, so I called the company, spoke with another person (who said she would get to the bottom of it)...and I never heard from them again. This group was unprofessional and they wasted our time. Look elsewhere.

From the first communcations with Jacob, to the follow up with Joe, my experience with this company has been stellar. They performed expert work when installing my fireplace, working and communicating well with the other contractors on the project. After installation , and the fireplace was up and running, I had some questions about it. They sent Joe down from Cleveland (I live in Columbus) and he went over my questions and checked out the unit. I would recommend these guys, in a heartbeat, if you are contemplating hiring them for your job.

We couldn't be happier with our new porch--what a transformation! Iron Castle Construction's skill…read moreand professionalism are as impressive as the outcome itself. Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

I honestly feel a bit bad leaving a 3-star review here because everyone I interacted with at Iron…read moreCastle Construction was genuinely kind, respectful, and responsible. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.

My honest review and experience with BUZZARD BUILDS LLC and its owner Kyle Taylor…read more If you hate reading remember this Ovoid, Ovoid, and Ovoid. things started out well, Kyle's a nice guy and easy to like, I hired him to do a small handyman job and he told me he did larger jobs and showed me some photos of jobs he'd complete that looked really good. Well, a few months later I decided to remodel the master bathroom and thought of Kyle. Things got off to a good start, demolition and the underlay construction went well and gave me hope I made a good decision. Sadly once we got into the finishing work with the flooring and tiles things started to decline. The job seemed completed and we signed off regardless of a few minor details but we accepted the work and were ready to enjoy. Right away we noticed water constantly got outside the shower, no matter what we did water always pooled on the floor, we called Kyle and he came over and tried to put edges on the doors to stop it, sadly this had no results and I discovered the Curb was set incorrectly and was angled outward and not inward towards the drain, so water would always escape. We shared this with Kyle and he acknowledged the error and said he would fix it, this is where things went from bad to worst. He destroyed the tiles on the inside/outside curb in removing the top and didn't replace them, The shower doors were broken during this process and we decided to pay another 1k for new ones, sadly no repairs to the damaged areas occurred he just loaded up the caulk, same on the inside, lots of caulk. So now its complete and looks like crap, Kyle knows it and his last words were "I know it's not what you wanted" and off he went. I'm out 15k and right back to the situation I started in an unattractive shower. I would avoid getting into this situation, cause when mistakes happen he will cut and run, he can't afford to resolve the situations he creates and you will suffer. Pictures below, Does this look like new construction?
