Right now as long as you're coming from the west you can drive directly to the restaurant before the road is closed for construction (7/2026). We split a 2 egg with bacon breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. The house strawberry jam was really good. The hash browns were perfectly prepared if a bit greasy. The eggs ordered over medium were just a bit overcooked but we wanted to be sure the whites were fully done. My wife especially liked the cure on the bacon. Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive. She did a great job. It was interesting seeing how the original restaurant was converted rail cars and later expanded into what they have today. We heartily recommend Stoby's if you're ever in the area.

My Husband & I had dinner here and shared 2 entrees. We had the steak tacos on Taco Tuesday, which…read moreis corn tortillas, asada beef, cilantro & onions. We both really liked them, although the meat was a bit tough. We also shared the chicken Taquitos Mexicana. I was not a fan of this dish simply because it had a white cheese sauce on top and 1 or 2 of them were laid on top of the beans, making the tortilla soggy. We had to eat them with a fork. The chips and salsa were good and not too salty. I requested a hotter salsa and they brought a small bowl to me and it was more flavorful and hotter, as I like. Our server was friendly and check out at the counter was a friendly lady that asked how we enjoyed it. It is decorated very nicely, like you are actually in Mexico and the bathroom and restaurant was all very clean. We would definitely come back. Probably sooner if they served beer.

He mentioned Sisters' Savory Kitchen and that they are strictly grab-n-go and that sounded like the best option to fill out our meal options for a few days. Also, in quickly checking out their website and social media (because no Yelp reviews yet), I was super excited by all of the classic Southern options on the menu. They offer lunch (hot and cold) specials Monday-Friday from 11 am - 2 pm and anything from their ready-to-eat or -bake options, from appetizers to main dishes to sides, during their full business hours. (Pop in on their social media for regular updates and daily specials.) Post-walk at the lake, we picked up sandwiches and some selections to enjoy over multiple days. My mom got their chicken salad with fresh fruit and my cousin and I both got their special of the day which was turkey, swiss, sprouts, cream cheese, and sunflower seeds with a side of marinated veggies. The sandwich was delicious and I loved the fresh and crunchy broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots with a tangy marinade. Everything was enthusiastically enjoyed by all. From the fridge/freezer we got: - Chicken and Dumplings - Twice Baked Potatoes - Cheese Grits - Pimento Cheese Everything was plenty for multiple meals. We served the potatoes and grits with homemade meatloaf and cole slaw one night and with homemade fried green tomatoes another. Every bite was so delicious and comforting, as it should be.
