Okay, I waited a while to write my review so I could see how the overall job bettered my home. I…read morehad my 102 year old 2 story home completely resided with Vinyl siding. Fist, this was no small project. The owner and project manager at times could be a little slow with responding to calls/text, but were very respectful when the did return my call. Siding is no easy task as you have to account for weather, but they cannot work during rain. So the project got started a couple of weeks late, but that worked out okay for me. It was 2020 and I wasn't going anywhere fast. The crew that worked on my home were timely and professional. If they couldn't answer a question, I would contact the owner Traci directly and he would give me an answer. They warned me that there could be serious problems that could add to the time of the project completion and cost. Well, we had issues, but they were brought to my attention and documented in writing along with pictures. Lets just say, I want the siding to be done right and look great so we had a few others concerns fixed by cervices as well (wood, window trims). The project took around 5-6 weeks, but it was well worth it. All new siding and after this past winter with snow, rain, and everything, it seems to be doing just fine. A few places in our cellar are now dried up where some water got in before. People comment on how great it looks. We had all new gutters and downspouts installed as well, which drain perfectly. On a side note we asked the crew to throw up a new light fixture and mailbox when they took down the old and they did so. All in all, if you have patience for a project like this, then Cervices is a great company who can provide you with professional work at a reasonable cost. Thank you Traci. Cordially, J. Hesley

Marsha came out the next day to take a look at our deck and house, she had a quote to us within a few hours. I was able to review the work I was having done and accept the quote all online. Then a few days later they contacted via text and email to let me know when they were coming to start the job. I received a text when the guys were coming on the first day, it had a link that let me know when they would get there, when they expected to be finished the workers name and a picture of the worker. This was great, loved being in the loop and knowing who to expect at my house. First day they power washed the house and the deck using dog friendly chemicals I might add. It looked fantastic!!! Like a brand new house and deck. I was amazed because our deck was in rough shape, I didn't think it would ever look that good again. We were supposed to have the deck stained a few days later but due to moister in the wood and the rain from Ida the staining was delayed by a week but to no fault of Garrett's. When they were able to come out to stain I got the same notification as I did the first day. The crew was at our house all day! The crew was very hard working and nice. They cleaned up all their mess and more importantly they kept the paint spatter on the patio below to a minimum. Last but probably most importantly I'd like to point out that every time someone from Garrett's was on our property and went through our gate that they made sure to shut it behind them. I know this doesn't sound like a lot but our gate is not in the best shape and requires two bungee cords. Each time they not only shut the gate but put the cords back on, even when I had left the gate open before they got there. It's a small thing but it means so much to me. I highly recommend Garrett's, great communication, great customer service and great work at a reasonable price!!

I have hired many general contractors over the years. This my opinion and my experience with JKM…read moreContruction and Customs. Mike in my opinion was the most unprofessional. We paid him $17,000 which was over half the estimated job to build a master bathroom in upstairs bedroom. First went ok, the plumber came and ran some pipes from the crawl space to the second floor. after that week thinks just stopped. Mike said framers would be there but never showed and when we texted him he said something came up and they had to do something else. this went on for weeks. He then claims he paid them and they never showed. 4 weeks have now went by and mold had grown on the lumber he had delivered and placed in our upstairs bedroom. my wife is very allergic to mold and carries a Epinephrine pen so she can no longer go upstairs were the lumber is sitting. we have to live in our downstairs bedroom. Mike tells us that he can't get anyone so he will come and do it. he brags about how hard of a worker he is and he will show up at 9am sharp and put in the work of 2 men. the day comes and he is 3 hours late. I start texting him asking when will he be here because my wife has to leave and I have meeting and need to know when he will arrive so I can leave the meeting to let him in. He sends me a unprofessional text. you can see the attached image. Shows up hours late put in 6 hours of work then leaves. He doesn't do anything to address the mold on the lumber. Puts the lumber over the floor joists and covers it with plywood. I text him a questions about the work he did. He responds the next day with a text telling use to stop being nosy and let him do his job. Very unprofessional. Out of desperation we have him sign a contract to dissolve the original contract and he gets the wood out of the house but he also agrees to pay us $2,000 of the original $17,000 back. We gave him over a month to pay this back I even suggested he could do payments but he said paying the lump sum was fine. The month passed, he says he doesn't have it and then says to sue him and he would enjoy every minute of it. So instead I said if you don't have the money then you are to poor to sue so I will just write a review of your company and in my opinion very unprofessional behavior. he then begins cussing me and threatening me that he has some dirt on my from a previous city. which is absolutely laughable. I also started recording our phone conversations so if he disputes it I will post the audio files to prove what when on. Oh and now he has a different company name on his truck that says "Mike's General Contracting".
