I had driven to Wells Fargo (I do not bank with them) to try and cash a check written from a Wells Fargo business account. Despite the fact my employer HAS an account with them and the check was for work, they were unwilling to help me and wanted to charge me fees. On a long shot I tried Chase, knowing I did not have enough money in my bank account to cover the check. Rachel went above and beyond, checking with her supervisor if it would be okay to honor the check. She was kind and courteous of the situation. I had previously considered closing down my Chase account to open up an account with a credit union, but finding out that I had such an awesome team of tellers near my house has completely changed my mind.

I followed every step exactly -- deposited the required amounts, kept the balances for the full period, and confirmed eligibility with staff. Despite this, Chase only paid $300 of the promised amount. I've made multiple attempts to get the issue corrected, both through the branch and Chase's customer service. Each time I've been ignored or given vague explanations. This branch was happy to take my deposits but has shown no interest in honoring their own promotional terms or providing clear communication. Unless Chase resolves this, I cannot recommend opening an account here.

And an hour goes by, you have to figure they're not interested in your business. WF ceased by my primary back 5 years ago when a branch in San Francisco lost a $10,000 check and denied they'd received it, which made me scramble. They let me know they found it three months later but did not apologize. And now they have ridiculous restrictions on how much money I can transfer out of my accounts, which again has left me scrambling. Which mean once I have juggled this month and found a replacement account elsewhere I will be demanding a cashiers cheque for my balances.

I want to thank Christian Vasquez for his help in applying for a Visa card a few weeks ago. He was conscientious and extremely helpful in ensuring I received a prompt reply. I have had my credit bureau accounts locked for four years because of Equifax being hacked and I did not want to unlock them for any extended period of time. With Christian's assistance, 1st Bank required that I unlock only one. It was unlocked for less than a full day and someone who was involved in processing my application even called me as soon as my credit bureau report had been pulled so I could freeze my credit bureau report again! (Interestingly, I had applied at another bank with which I have an IRA and just got the round around, my time and energy wasted.) Excellent customer service makes a difference. I am thankful that as a consume I have options. Thank you Christian! And, thank you to Jesus who called to tell my my application had been approved.

Called the new PNC - 1. first PNC person I spoke with didn't know how to check if new ATM card sent. This person did not know anything.
