The owner has over 40 years experience, the technician over 30, rebuilding a restoration engine or getting you more power out of what you do have. Since it seems wrong to not have all reviews included I thought I would point this out and post them again. You can view them if you click on the link under the shown reviews. Don, Federal Way on 12/19/2013-I had a 7.5L Ford engine rebuilt by them this Summer. The engine needed everything! Bores honed, crank ground, heads completely done, etc. Gary and his assistants Were very helpful in advising me with regards to which components to get and were able to supply some that are hard to obtain. They have been in business for a very long time, and have a wealth of knowledge. Their advice is worth its weight in gold. My build was a mild upgrade, but they do antique restorations and race motors as well. My friend, who recommended them, has had numerous engines done there over the years and has never found a flaw in their work! It doesn't get any better than that. The cost was competitive with many run-of -the-mill engine houses, but the care and quality of work is the best. Engine now runs better than any V-8 I've ever owned. Thanks again, guys! Nathan, Ellensburg on 01/30/2014-Ive lived all over the state and down in Oregon and I always bring my motors back up here to have my machine work done. Some people think I'm crazy, I just want it done good and correctly the first time! They have always done their best to make sure I get out of there with the advice, parts, and machine work I need to do the job correctly. I have brought my diesel heads here and my BMW M10 engines as well other miscellaneous engine parts for different projects. I always recommend them to my friends and anybody who works on motors! To make reviews out of easy view, almost hidden, just seems wrong.

I was sending work to Gary since he was able to sneak in cylinder heads and some block work, do to…read morehis Machinist retiring and only working 1 day a week. However in the last several months the quality or work had dropped off or he has started severely overcharging. I had him clean a couple oil pans and a few parts and even though I told him to only run them through the sprayer booth he without consent media blasted and other thing to the tune of 500$. Once I returned to the shop I found a bit of runt on a Rod journal and called him to give him a heads up. next visit I took him a cylinder head and what I received in return was half of a camshaft out of a running OEM engine (with out any rust) came back badly rusted. When ever I spoke with him all I heard about the job was "AH!". Gary seems to have no idea what is going on. It's very sad to see this shop going out of business. When you attempt to drop off items the entire driveway has been sold to the tire shop. When asked about the significant rust they left on my clients camshafts, Gary simply said you'll need to remove the rust. He stated the he "Never looked at the job." It unfortunate that his brain can't wrap itself around the fact that it's time to sell before there is nothing left. they are doing greater damage then any benefit possible. I'm sorry to see you go Gary!!! These cams may have been coated with oil but there was NO!! "rust" prior to visiting Pacific Auto Machine!!!
