The place: You can buy cheese or you can stop by to get some ice cream. The goods: We stopped in and got some cheese - they had a good variety. Obviously we got a big bag of cheese curds, and I purchased 2 different cheeses - the Louis Cyr (awesome) and Le P'tit Bonheur (haven't tried it yet). Normally, I get Le Fin Renard, which is great, but I wanted to try something new. On the way out, we decided to get some ice cream - a chocolate soft serve dipped in milk chocolate for my mom, and I tried the vegan strawberry ice cream dipped in dark chocolate. Oh. My. God. It was so good - I'm sad to live so far away! Service: Friendly Price point: To be honest, you're not getting any deals on cheese unless you are buying the extras (basically they appear to be exactly like the regular cheese, but you get more for a bit less). As for the ice cream, pricing is on par with most places. This place is worth the stop if you are in the area - not only do you get to buy tasty cheese, but you'll take a drive through some truly breathtaking scenery.

The relatively short side trip was quite picturesque and worthwhile. Although they have a side service window (which I believe also sells bread and wine) as well as outdoor seating for picnicking, the fromagerie itself is businesslike. I ordered the Le Seigneur de Tilly Gouda and Brins de Gouda curds, which were good but unremarkable. Luckily I also ordered four various soft cheeses, similar to Camembert. These may be some of the best soft cheeses I have ever tasted. Of course, over the months I have forgotten the names... Quel dommage!
