If you adore cheese, you should not miss the Fromagerie de Grenelle. When my brother, sister-in-law, and I were in Paris a few years ago, we bought a small round of semi-soft cheese with marinated raisins to eat with our baguette. It was heavenly! Along with some fruit and chocolate croissants all purchased on this street, we took this to the Eiffel Tower's lawn and ate the most delicious breakfast ever in the most beautiful setting. I have tried to find this cheese back home and came close once, but there must be something about those French dairy cows that makes this cheese extra special. The Parisian way of picking out the best items from a store that specializes only in one thing (chocolaterie, boulangerie, fromagerie, produce) is just the best way to go. Everything tastes so much better than items shipped all over the country or imported as they are here in the states. Don't miss this gem in this thoroughly Parisian neighborhood so close to the Eiffel Tower. read more
