We used our Passport America discount and only paid $15. The park is mostly gravel with a concrete pad at each site. Full hookups were great. Not a ton of shade but the trees that are there are large. A few folks were sitting under one together enjoying some drinks when we arrived. There's an off leash dog area which I greatly appreciate. It amazes me that some of the big RV resorts don't have these. Very nice to let our dog run about a bit. We used the showers and they were private, hot, and clean. Excellent. It is a little tricky getting there. We had to do a u-turn because our GPS didn't quite get the path right. Take a look at the map yourself beforehand to have an idea of the turn. My only complaint about the campground was that I saw several fire ant mounds. There was one right next to our site pad that we had to be careful to avoid. Otherwise, this was a great stop. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever passing through the area.

Patio doors had no locks so not a good feeling to be safe with kids on a lake. NO INTERNET AT ALL. I am not sure why they even have tv's in cabins to think it would work. Your phone hotspot won't even work there. Food was cheap but out of everything. Didn't even have sugar. The Kids activities sucked. Art class consisted of giving one sea shell and some wal-mart paint. Dance party was non-existant. Waterslide is not huge. It is just plasic down a small hill. Everything you do is an extra cost. The water park is fine if you do day pass but the price of actually staying there is not worth it. The staff (which are very younger) are actually very nice and trained to say, I'm sorry, very well. so kuddo's on that piece of customer service! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

He claimed he didn't have insurance, but that it would be fixed and he'd take care of it. We filed with our insurance company and damages are estimated at $32,000+. It is the end of January 2026 and our rig is still in the shop with no completion date given. When I contact Dennis Gartman, the owner about reimbursing us for our incidental expenses, he becomes hostile, argumentative, and hanges up on me. We've had to get the State Attorney General's office involved. Mr. Gartman ignored their letters and states he will see us in court. I would have never stayed in a campground if I'd known the owner didn't have insurance, was knocking down trees, and was such a dishonest man. With all we've already been through, this could have happened to you!

They are doing good things with this site and were very accommodating! We were extremely happy with our stay and will definitely return. I would keep in mind the ownership change if you read older reviews. We will definitely be staying here again when we travel through MS. It's the only KOA around.
