We were strolling around lovely Cefalu starting to feel quite a bit hungry. We were just around the Duomo when we spotted this place on a small side street. Had some tables outside and one just got available. Didn't check the feedback first, so we just took a chance.
And what a wonderful lunch we experienced here! Firstly, our dog was welcome here. And ten Service and staff were nice and friendly (even though very busy). We ordered two local beer and checked the menu.
In the end we went for one Arancino and a fried little fish platter. The Arancino was the best one we've had on our five-week Italy Trip. Cooked/Fried to perfection. Golden-brown and crispy, with creamy melted cheese and ham inside. Fantastic! And for that price a real steal!
The fried fish/seafood was another hit. Lots of little fish, small shrimp and wonderful Calamari. All superfresh. Calamari crispy outside and really tender. A realy feast for fish and seafood lovers. One of the best fried seafood platters we've had in Italy.
Prices were fair - local beer costs understandably a bit more (but good stuff). Arancini are real cheap though...like I said, a real steal. Highly recommended. read more
