The wine I got was the last bit of the bottle, so I got skimped on the pour, which I was upset about. I kept looking around at others ordering wine and they all got 3/4 of an inch more in the wine glass than I did. I was expecting him to come back with a new bottle to finish the acceptable pour - but nope. With the cooperto to charge and charge for tap water (which I know is everywhere in Italy) this bill cost me a lot more than I was expecting for the service and quality of the food. I had more food at lunch with a nicer ambiance which cost me less than this spot! Don't think I would recommend this spot to friends visiting unfortunately.

You smell all of the delicious aromas from the kitchen as soon as you walk in the front door. There is a large and diverse menu. I had the pasta with bottarga. It came with tomatoes but because I had an allergy to them, I asked that they be removed. No problem. My husband had the Pasta Alla Norma, which he really enjoyed as well. Service was fantastic. The waitress confirmed all of my allergies more than once and she was extremely friendly. The restaurant is also a shop. There are so many amazing things: wine (fabulous selection), cheese, packaged goods (pasta, spices, pistachio flour), sweets, and the most unbelievable selection of grappa you have ever seen (prickly pear, pomegranate). If you are ever in Cefalu, you should definitely drop in!

The salads are enormous and absolutely fresh - the absolute best salad in Cefalu! On a few occasions, the owner Salvatore prepared what my dad wanted (if he had the ingredients) when it was not really listed on the menu. It has outdoor seating overlooking the ocean and a cool little cafe room to one side of the main room, as well. Also, for caffeine addicted Americanos - the cafe macchiato doppio is pretty large.

( I didn't notice the fish, only afterwards I looked at the check and noticed that every item I ordered had an extra euro 2 charge. It would not have been a problem if the menu clearly indicated a surcharge for ordering from a "gluten free kitchen")
