Ramble parks…read moreoutside BreweryARS on Thursdays so I saw a tweet from ARS promoting this crazy pickle pizza special. I live in Kensington - so a good 20 minute drive away from this place but this Pickle Pizza special was worth the effort! My husband called in the order and had no issues picking it up. I will say I had the pizza about 1-2hours after we picked it up (see long day at work). My husband kept it in the oven on warm and it held up well. When I got home I was more than stoked to see him pull this gorgeous large pizza out of the oven. It tasted just as good as it looked! The pickles were fresh and crunchy and the tzatziki sauce with dill was a perfect compliment. The crust was thin and sturdy - like it didn't flop around and wasn't soggy at all. This was some bomb pizza and even though it's far, I'd make the trip for this pizza again. It's just a bonus you can pick up some great beer right next door.

It pains me to give Rambles only 2-stars…read more This place is fairly new to the Philly scene and is already much beloved, and raved about. I even know people who order from here once, sometimes twice a week! I may have had super high expectations, which were impossible for Rambles to live up to, but I have to be honest-- it's just not that good. We recently ordered from them while they were at ARS on a Thursday evening-- a margherita pizza with sausage and mushrooms. A little unconventional, but some of the pictures online steered us in that direction. The pizza was ready for pick up at the designated time and the pre--phone ordering was seamless. It took us a little while to get home and find parking, so we decided to heat up our pizzas in the oven to get that fresh pizza effect. However, when we opened the box, the toppings were barely discernible, or at least, not as plentiful as previous Yelp posts had shown them. We shrugged it off and hoped the taste would redeem it. The pizza wasn't bad, but it really wasn't good either. The sauce, from the little I could taste, had amazing flavor-- there just wasn't enough of it. I had the same sentiment with the cheese and the toppings. My friend actually said while eating the pizza, "Oh, I forgot we ordered mushrooms because I can't really see or taste them." The crust was thin, but lacked a chewiness that I want in all my pizzas. I'm usually a 2-slice max person, but honestly, I was STILL hungry after two. It just kinda reinforced the idea that the pizza lacked substance :( My friend and I just about finished the 16" pizza ourselves. Overall, I'm just a little disappointed-- at the hype, quality and apparent inconsistencies.

Looking forward to coming back soon.

I have accepted this at this point. I went on the app at 5:00 to order the pretzel dogs but was given an error message saying too close to closing time. TWO HOURS!!!?? I tried to place the order from inside the outlets so the wait wouldn't be an issue. Can't place the order on the app, ok, let's just walk over. I wouldn't even come here if it wasn't for my 13 year old son. We arrived at 5:45, after shopping. The employee was polite, but he made sure to let us know IMMEDIATELY that what was left in the case was the only thing they are offering. Which makes zero sense to me. You don't even close for over an hour & you can't make one batch of pretzel dogs? Why are you even open until 7:00 then? Can someone PLEASE explain exactly how one goes about actually getting pretzel dogs from a place who sells pretzel dogs? And I just want to add on to this one last comment. We have gone to Walmart that has an Auntie Anne's in it, later in the evening & OFFERED to make us whatever we wanted as long as we didn't mind waiting. No problem at all! BIG FAT TIP IN THEIR JAR FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY! I suggest you advertise your hours as closing at 7pm, but won't be making anything after 5. Never heard of such a thing in my entire life.

Cento San Marzano produces delicious food items, particularly their San Marzano canned tomatoes! I…read moreagree with Yelper Friend Michael N., that "Cento San Marzano tomatoes are absolutely the premium supermarket choice!" With "no added sugars of thickeners..." Their website describes these tomatoes as "grown in the Sarnese Nocerino area of Italy, renowned for its especially fruitful soil as a result of tis proximity to Mount Vesuvius. [These tomatoes] are certified by an independent third party agency to ensure their superior quality. They are perfect for making homemade sauces and are hand picked only when ripe, giving them a distinctively sun ripe and sweet taste." We use the Cento San Marzano tomatoes often and my husband like the Cento Flat Filet Anchovies, especially on his pizza slices. Their canned tomatoes (e.g., Italian Style Peeled Tomatoes, San Marzano Peeled Tomatoes, All Purpose Crushed Tomatoes) are more expensive than Hunts and of course more expensive than "Great Value" brand; however we have to pay for quality products! I've tried Cento olive oil and found it to be a delicious, high quality product, too! I think their branding and packaging is lovely, also! It gives the products a truly refined look and feel! Nice job, Cento! Thanks, Cento Fine Foods!
