Sorry to say, but I ended up with two different lengths of sideburn/ear areas. I had a friend trim it to straighten it out. The problem was being required to wear a mask. I have no problem with that, but the hairdresser should let the client unhook the elastic ear-hoops, then manually hold the mask over nose & mouth. It was crooked for a reason. The hairdresser was sweet but... The salon has a country western feel to it. read more

The stylist Dylan completely ruined my hair!! Each side is completely different lengths. One side layered horribly and the other side not. She fried my hair and for all the frying the color is all different shades. The coloring is chunky and uneven. Sooo unhappy with the outcome. She made it very aware she didn't want to finish my hair by doing Horrific blow dry and said well it's 4:00 so do you want me to curl it??? Not to mention she didn't speak to me the entire appointment I was there for 5 hours!!! I paid 210$ and a 20$ tip. I showed her what a horrific job she did and her response was she misunderstood what I asked idk how uneven hair is a miscommunication!! And proceeded to tell me she wasn't comfortable giving me a full refund?? I'm not comfortable leaving my house with this janky hair job!! She took no accountability for the horrible job she did. It was a terrible experience and I'm stuck having to pay someone else do to the job she took money for. She should be ashamed she let me walk out of the salon looking the way I did. Weirdly, fringe19 actually has an abundance of five star reviews written by well- established Yelpers but, for some reason, they're being filtered out. Yelp needs to fix this. Anyhow, I was in desperate need of a trim since it had been 6+ months and I was looking feral. After seeing positive recommendations in a local community group online, I called Amber and she was able to fit me in within a day or so which was a nice surprise. Her shop is very clean and cute, she's diligent about Covid-19 precautions, she's an overall cool person to be around, and she did a fantastic job on my long, wavy, graying hair. She managed all this for a price so reasonable, I had to look twice. I'm confident that regular visits to Amber will have me looking human rather than like an angry spirit made of creosote branches and dust. Also, her shop is over by Old Town Yucca so there's good coffee and fun little stores nearby if you want to make a socially distant day of it. Her shop has lots of parking right up front, too, and would have been easy to find if I'd just listened to Waze the first time. Amazing , such a beautiful space. Very natural and laid back, I was very satisfied with my end results. I came into the place , never being here , or hearing of the place . She owns the place herself and works usually alone. Her place is decorated uniquely to her style and I feel brings out the desert energy within her. She is very very professional about the quality of her work, and she is an amazing hair artists. I have always had hair styles that have never really gotten exactly what I asked for , always a little off. This was perfect , I got exactly what I asked for . Amber really listened to what I wanted and gave me an excellent cut! Exactly what I wanted!! I appreciated that she practices Covid safety as well. I just moved to town and I'm used to paying an arm and a leg for a haircut, and that it takes a week or two to get an appointment - Not here! I loved that I could easily book an appointment online on her website, and I was able to get in the next day. I also appreciated the fact that she lists her prices and there are no surprises (as often happens in the fancier salons).
