She was booked a few weeks out which is always a good sign so I made an appt. A few days before my appt I received a reminder/verification text of my appt which was very helpful. I had very dry and damaged hair and basically gave her free reign with the cut and color choices. She was talkative and kind while highlighting and trimming and the final product was BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU SO MUCH DEMI! My hair is a beautiful color and the cut was not too much (every woman's dread). I will be back!!

She was informative on process and maintenance. I will definitely be returning to her. She also mentioned other services the office provides so I am excited to get in for a haircut and facial next!

But being a former soldier, I was not about to give up. I waited until, I couldn't wait any longer and gave it one more shot. And lo and behold, the young lady that answered the phone told me that she would color my locs for me. To say I was elated would be an under statement. I get there and was greeted like I had been there a thousand times. Then I was informed that the young lady I talked to on the phone was/is the owner Mrs. Vickie and coloring is not her specialty but that she had been an instructor at our local cosmetology school, I felt a lot better. But still coloring is for a while. Lol. And then I realized that coloring locs is a real job. I won't get into all the technical stuff, but just know I wasn't ready. Lol. So it's finally done, and at first, I was shocked the person looking back at me was someone else (the whole purpose of a dye job! Lol) It took me a couple days, but everyone else I came across wanted to know "Who colored my locs? Or where did I get that done in this area?" And I happily told anyone that would listen---American Roots!! When it's time for a touch up or re-do I will be there. Thanks, Mrs. Vickie
