I've gone here every year for the past three years and have never been disappointed! Fun haunted "house" located in a strip mall off Military Hwy. You go through a series of rooms and corridors dressed in all manners of frightening and scary scenarios. The actors are enthusiastic and appear to have a lot of fun. I love going with friends who share in my love for the scare. Half the time we are laughing at just how scared we all are. This year, expect to crawl though tight spaces... fair warning if you may get a little claustrophobic! I ended up buying passes to their next three events for Christmas, Valentines and Easter! All three events for $20! Not a bad deal!! Also not for those that may have a tiny fear of clowns ... one typically greets you at the door!

Read my review. Got hit in the stomach and that's all he said .

Just going to post these right here. Went to Frightmare last night. DIDNT pay for the extreme or full contact option. Went with my friend. Everything was going well in Frightmare until we get to this room where there is doors with fridges as the doors and alarms that go off if you go into the wrong one. We eventually got out of the room and was led through a small hallway to a white door with no knob. I proceeded to open the door with my Foot at the bottom of the door with constant pressure. I was met with the door not budging at all. My friend then yelled "Kick the door". I however did not kick the door but applied more even pressure. The door swung open and I was hit directly, very forcefully square in my stomach with a plastic bat by a Frightmare employee who was very tall and dressed in blue with a mask of sorts,. When he hit me in the stomach he said "don't kick the door". I replied back saying "I didn't kick the door and that really fucking hurt". He got in my face again and said "don't kick doors. As we were trying to leave that room/area, he kept touching my friends behind and hitting it with the bat. She repeatedly told the man to stop touching her, more then once and very loudly. As we were about to exit the haunted house, I came nose to nose with another employee dressed like a hobo clown who "bopped" me on the nose with his nose. Just to remind you again, we DID not pay for full contact or extreme anything so no actors/employees should be touching us. We let the old gentlemen with white hair and facial hair know. All he said was "we will look into it". Not receiving a statisfactpry answer, we left and I sent the messages to the Frightmare FB account. Beware because they don't know how to handle their employees or act appropriately.

Long wait but I hear it's worth it!

We came here on a Saturday evening and let me tell you, we weren't expecting to see a long line around the building. Friends and I bought a 4 pack of tickets for only $44 and I'm glad we did. When we got there, the scary guy with the skirt on told us from our point it would have been 3 hours. We decided to stick through it and although the wait was a bit long, it was only a little after 1.5 hours. I'm glad we did because it was definitely spooky. It's not your usual haunted house because it's very narrow and there's times you can't see anything. I had a great time, so much that I lost an earring.

They actively advertise that if you're in line by 10:30 you get in. Saw this on their promotional videos on Facebook, and all over the building as you walk up. Well, on opening night they turned us away at 10:25. I work weekends and this was my only Friday off this fall. Not a good first impression, especially after driving a half hour for "the best in VA". Seems very unprofessional to me. I don't think I'll chance it again.

This has to be one of the best haunted things/places I've been to in a long time! Even though…read morethey've been around for 29 years this was my first time going. They are located on the first Floor of MacArthur mall closest to the S1 parking near Dillard's. It's cash only. $20 per person. The side that has the huge spider and the brain exposed dummy is where you purchase tickets. As you leave you turn to the right and they have a corded off area to the wall where you wait in line. Someone will bring you into the Spooky Acres on the other side. Before doing so, they give you a quick briefing of what to expect. One employee will walk with you through the corridors the entire time. Don't worry, this doesn't deter you from getting scared nor does it negatively impact your experience. Honestly, I think it's more for safety reasons, because they can and will touch you! A good chunk of my fat roll on my left side was grabbed in the scare process. LMAO. Having someone guide you also allows you to pace your time while going through. You are informed that after a certain part, you will then be left to venture through a COMPLETELY dark maze to fend for yourself. Lights and cellphones are NOT PERMITTED for use to guide you. There is also mention of having to crawl through a tunnel. When my friend starts asking about the level of crawling involved, you realize you're not as young anymore. Are we talking about army crawl, bend down and crouch through the tunnel height? These are serious questions that need to be answered ;-) The answer to that question is, a hands and knees crawl is required, but it is carpeted/padded. We survived. The acting and props were above par and commitment was strong. We were legit full on screaming. My friend's son several times out screamed me and I thought he was going to hyperventilate. He was fine. To reiterate THEY WILL TOUCH OR GRAB YOU! So keep that in mind before purchasing tickets because there are no refunds. Also make sure if you're not a flight person (fight or flight response) that you keep your fight reactions in check. You DON'T want to inadvertently karate chop some poor kid for doing their job so well. It was a great time and I think we just about screamed all the stress out of ourselves. Great times with good friends!!

Very well put together and fun, however the actors need to tone down how hard they grab visitors…read more Leaving bruises, deep scratches is entirely unacceptable. There is no need to be so violent .

Hunt Club Farm - Birthday party on the farm

They loved the animal enclosure especially the chickens and were very excited about the goats. The playground was also wonderful and perfect for my 2 year old to run around and explore. My 2 year old is on the autism spectrum, so I really want to recognize that the environment at the farm felt very sensory-friendly. The gated areas were especially helpful because my son tends to elope, and it allowed me to feel much more comfortable letting him explore. For families with toddlers or children with additional needs, that kind of setup makes a big difference and is truly appreciated. However, I'm very disappointed with our experience during the pony ride. I paid $10 for my 2 year old to ride a pony, and I was genuinely excited because it was his first time ever being on a horse. I've heard so many positive things about how horse riding can help regulate children on the spectrum, so this was a moment I was really looking forward to as a parent. Unfortunately, the staff member who took us around for the pony ride was extremely rude and clearly seemed like she did not want to be there. Her attitude made the interaction very uncomfortable, and it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience. I pushed through the moment so my son could still enjoy his ride, but it completely took away from what should have been a really special first experience. When we looked back at the photos we took of the moment, in some of them she is actually rolling her eyes, which was very disappointing to see. No parent wants their child's first experience with something special to feel like they are bothering the staff. I'm sharing this feedback because the farm itself is a wonderful place for young kids, and I hope management is aware of how interactions like this affect families' experiences. The animals, playground, and environment were great, but customer interactions especially during experiences like pony rides should feel welcoming and positive for families and children.

Despite it being very packed on a weekend, there was plenty to do without out it feeling over crowded. The animals are were the sweetest and you can tell they are accustomed to the attention and the feedings. We loved petting the animals as they were all gentle! I especially loved that the Farm had many photos opportunities set up! The growth chart is a cute one, especially if you come back each year to capture the growth! We spent the bulk of our time at the adventure trees. Climbing through all the different rope bridges and fast slides! We didn't ride the ponies since the line was pretty long, but I'd love to in the future. I saw many people hosting birthday parties & baby showers here. Pretty cool that the farm has that option. I'm interested to see if they'd host a corporate event here! Overall, I can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend visiting! If you're debating, this is your sign to just go! :)

A Day That Defied Reality: Our Elite VIP Tour at Busch Gardens Williamsburg…read moreThe Beginning: Already Impressed Before We Even Entered Let me start by saying this: I've been to theme parks countless times throughout my life. I thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong. Wonderfully, spectacularly wrong. Our day began at 10:15 AM when we arrived at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for our 11:30 AM Elite VIP Tour. Meeting Tyler: The Man, The Myth, The Legend I can confidently say that Tyler alone would have made this experience worth every penny. His energy, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for what would become one of the most memorable days our family has ever shared. The First Hour: Three Hours Saved. Yes, You Read That Right. Within the first hour, our group of four had ridden the top four roller coasters at Busch Gardens. Let that sink in. Four coasters. Sixty minutes. For context, on a typical busy day at the park, the wait times for these attractions can easily exceed 45-90 minutes each. Based on the posted wait times we saw at each ride, Tyler saved us approximately three hours of standing in lines - just in that first hour alone. This wasn't just VIP treatment; this was time-travel. The "Snacks" Revelation: A Glorious Understatement Tyler explained that "snacks" meant anything any of us wanted, anytime, all day long. Waters? Check. Energy drinks? Check. Icees, churros, soft pretzels? All of it. Throughout our eight-hour tour, our group sampled pretty much every food option the park had to offer. The funnel cakes with ice cream and toppings were a particular favorite. The various cakes, cupcakes, cheesecake, cookies - I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Tyler took care of everything with a simple tap of his card, never once making us feel like we were imposing or asking for too much. The Moment Everything Changed "This tour lets you ride any ride, without waiting, in any seat you want, as many times as you want." This wasn't just a theme park visit. This was a day where the normal rules didn't apply. A day where "I don't want to wait 90 minutes for that ride" simply wasn't in our vocabulary. Rides, Rides, and More Rides We rode everything. The coaster behind-the-scenes experience gave us an incredible up-close look at the inner workings of these engineering marvels. Feeding the Beast: Two Meals, Zero Complaints Our VIP tour included two full meals, and Tyler made sure we experienced the best the park had to offer. Lunch was at Das Festhaus, and at 6:30 PM took us to Trapper's Smokehouse, where the aroma of smoked meats had been tempting us all day. It did not disappoint. The Verdict: Eight Hours of Perfection Here's what truly made this experience exceptional: Tyler. Yes, the VIP perks are incredible. Yes, skipping lines changes everything. Yes, the all-inclusive food and drinks feel almost too good to be true. But a VIP tour is only as good as the guide who leads it, and Tyler was nothing short of outstanding. His knowledge of the park, his ability to read our group and adjust on the fly, his genuine care that we were having the best possible time - that's what transformed this from a great day into an unforgettable one. This tour was planned as part of a grand send-off for Ben and Jakub, who will be returning to Europe in June after their time with us. They came to America expecting a typical theme park experience. Instead, they got a day where magic was real, lines didn't exist, and every wish was granted before they even knew they had it. Would I Do It Again? In a heartbeat. Without hesitation. This wasn't just a theme park visit. This was an experience that redefined what a family day out can be. For anyone considering the Elite VIP Tour at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, here's my advice: Do it. Not "think about it." Not "maybe someday." Just do it. The Numbers Don't Lie Time saved in lines: Likely 6+ hours over the course of the day Rides experienced: Every operational coaster and major attraction Meals enjoyed: 2 full sit-down meals plus unlimited snacks and drinks Special experiences: 2 (Coaster behind-the-scenes + Animal Encounter) Professional photos: 33 captured memories included Memories made: Priceless Final Thoughts Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Elite VIP Tour is, quite simply, the gold standard for theme park experiences. From the moment we parked 100 feet from the entrance to the moment we left after eight hours of pure joy, everything was handled. Every need anticipated. Every wish granted. To Kate and the VIP Tours team who handled our booking and answered our questions with patience and professionalism - thank you. To Tyler - you're the real MVP. You took what could have been a fun day and turned it into something our family will talk about for years. Your passion for what you do shows, and we're grateful we got to experience it. And to anyone reading this review, wondering if the Elite VIP Tour is worth it: It's worth it. Every single penny.
