The teachers here are, like every other school, hit or miss. When they hit they hit wonderfully, when they miss they miss horribly. Trying to base a review on the teachers employed by this school is hard because every parent has different expectations and different experiences.
What I will cover is the messy (and somewhat dangerous) system that is student drop off and pick up.
The parking lot is obviously not designed for even a small fraction of their current student base. Combined with no parking zones on most of the road, a lack of communication between staff outside and a 'free for all' system you are left with cars and people attempting to occupy each other's spaces frequently.
The school, instead of devising a concise plan for the pick up and drop off, seems to be ignoring it in hopes that a parent/child doesn't get hurt in this process. Actually, the school seems to go out of its way to make the problem worse: Scheduling school events for all grades at the same time leaving the surrounding area swamped with foot and car traffic, cars parked in dangerous locations, etc.
I am focusing on this issue because, while I have complained about this privately for some time, I almost was hit again today. (Once a parent almost ran over my wife and youngest children during an event, missing them only because I was far enough back with my oldest to shout out a warning)
Quality of education is very important, but so is the safety of the children. They need to fix this issue before someone gets hurt. read more
