The instructor (Ian?) and his assistant were patient, knowledgable, friendly and professional. They offered appropriate support throughout class to all students, the talented and the struggling ones equally :) It was little talk and a lot of hands-on (90% of the time). You get to practice with as many pieces of clay as you want, but you only keep your best two, which is plenty. The shed is an extremely cool, inspiring warehouse style workshop! I recommend the class for a single person, a date night, a family or a birthday party. I'll be going back for sure.

She had suggested getting an Akubra when we asked about getting some authentic Australian hats. While initially the objective was solely for me to get a hat my wife ended up getting one as well because of the quality and style of the Akubra hats offered at Strand Hatters! Both store associates addressed us immediately upon entering the shop. I did not catch the lady's name who had help us but her service was fantastic! She spent the time to show us a variety of options, brands, sizes and colors and offered a few pro tips regarding care. If you're in the market I highly recommend this shop for their service and assortment of goods.

The majority of the stock is akubras, but there are panama hats, boater hats and even a few Highland bonnets- something I was particularly pleased to see!
