The backstory, I hired them to represent me regarding a case against my former Agency for discrimination; based upon race and disability; retaliation, and for subjecting hostile work environment. FELSC was extremely knowledgeable regarding these matters and got straight to work defending me. They were very reasonably priced compared to other law firms in the National Capital Region (NCR) and quite frankly, had better reviews over the others as well. While not inexpensive, it was worth every penny to know the paperwork was being done correctly and USCIS wasn't going to come back with a million questions or deny the application. Every case is different and my mom's situation wasn't incredibly complex, but it took half the time we estimated. Bottom line - applying for a green card isn't an easy process, even if you're a native English speaker. There are tons of forms to fill out and documents to provide. He completed my taxes in about 30 - 40 minutes, while I waited. However, he was unable to provide any substantive tax planning advice. It was only because of my very little tax knowledge that I was even able to get any money back from my return (he redid the expenses per my suggestion). His prices were ok, but you really pay for what you get. To compound his ineptitude, he delivered my taxes late to the IRS and never told me!!! I only found out when I received an IRS bill for $400 in the mail. He said he would take care of it, but never did. After sending him copies of the bill, he has only ignored my many emails and calls - leaving me with a $400 tab.
