The staff is very friendly and provided excellent service. As named, the restaurant has a Frida Kahlo theme with mostly open-air dining. The food was VERY delicious came in hefty portions. I'll be sure to visit again!

Excellent food, large portions and very reasonable prices. Besides all day breakfast, drinks menu is quite extensive. Juices are amazing, you'd pay a fortune for this in the US. Tons of ambience, cool vibe, personable service and convenient location to the malecon. It's a great little laid-back gem. The pics I posted were lifted from Ruben P. on Tripadviser, where there's a ton of well deserved 5 star reviews for Fridas : )

I'm surprised I'm posting the first Yelp review for this nice place! A very pleasant choice for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert (crepes!) or coffee, just off The Malecon. I came here twice for dinner. Tasty, eye-appealing enchiladas with some side greens were just 55 pesos. Old building with character and giant murals of guess who. Sidewalk tables, indoor seating, or an enclosed patio with a tree. Veggie options, but beware: those frijoles have manteca (lard). Good value. Nice staff. It gets the Steve stamp of ¡Bueno!

I caught my breath and put my hand over my chest "Your name is Don Julio?" We all fell out laughing. Keep in mind this is an Italian restaurant/steakhouse. The bread they serve is to die for. We ordered the beef carpaccio (thin slices of beef topped with olives, capers, and Parmesan cheese) and Palermo salad to start with. Very good. My boyfriend got the T bone and I ordered Chicken Marsala. I thought the steak was superb. My Chicken Marsala was phenomenal. It came with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. I don't normally eat all of my meal (portion control and I like to have leftovers), but I cleaned my plate. The service was great. We sat out on the patio and watched the sun set.

We had heard great things about Palermo's so we stopped in for dinner our first night in town. What…read morea wonderful experience as well as ambience. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we basically had personal service, and they were on top of everything. We started off with a house mixed greens salad with a balsamic vinaigrette and for dinner we had the 2 Way Shrimp entree (4 with thai sweet chili and 4 a white wine sauce) and N.Y. Steak (with baked potato and grilled vegetables). To go along with that, s Pina Colada and Rum/Coke. To top off the evening, cheesecake and proposal. Overall, a fantastic evening of food, drink, friends and service. Highly recommend you visit when in La Paz.
