I decided to drive to Auto Zone on sunnyside in Clovis. As I pulled into the parking lot I noticed a young man helping a lady, and as he finished up and waved goodby I quickly asked him if he could help me open my hood. He spent literally 30 minutes working to open that hood!! He tried various pliers types and eventually succeeded in getting that confounded thing open!
