For me it's always a soy flat white. They make an ok one here. When in my own neighbourhood of Brunswick East, I like to get my flat white from Padre so that's some tough competition. My niece is fond of hot chocolates and she always seems pretty pleased with herself when she's drinking one from Clancy's. She has also manipulated me with all her cuteness and sweet talk to buy her many a smiley faced mini meringue, which make her go a little crazy but I can't help but give in. She picks off the smarties that make up the eyes then eats the rest in the most messy way she can. Let this be a warning to people coming in here with kids - there is a very attractive display cabinet full of sweet things that look irresistible to children, do not let them see it. The Clancy's ladies are very accommodating and lovely and will always have a friendly little chat with my niece, which makes me like them even more.

The recipes are authentically French and are the way they used to be in a French boulangerie-pâtisserie 50 years back. The original owners sold it a few years back and there were some teething problems- staff that didn't smile at customers, almond croissant filling portion too little, lack of French atmosphere. However, in the meantime the old recipes survived (the old owners passed on all their recipes- I miss the friendly bonjour in the back with big smiles) and the next generation of customers can enjoy them and the service has improved. I have been coming on and off to this bakery since the 1990s and I still reckon the almond croissant is the best in town, only served on weekends, made freshly with the cream filling....a special Camberwell tradition. Do yourself a favour...come early on the weekends to not miss out on the almond croissants. Nice to see Orangina drinks for sale, too!

And everytime I drove by, I will pick up their Vanila Slice. Understanding that Melbourne does offers heaps of nice sweet places, therefore, I am sure Le Croissant Patrisserie would be one of it. Can't really comment on the texture and the taste, as I could be bias on the whole experience! I will highly recommend everyone to try this place, and let me know how they think about it.
