From preliminary conversations ten months before the wedding, through the day of the event, Kate went above and beyond, taking care of all details of wedding planning/coordinating. She planned and orchestrated all of the wedding events with all of our various vendors so that we could relax and fully enjoy the weekend. Kate was extremely professional to work with, quickly responding to emails and proactively managing the wedding planning process. She was extremely generous with her time, and did everything from interfacing with vendors, helping us to come up with our vision for the wedding, and putting it all together on the day of. Kate's experience was so helpful in navigating the various challenges of planning a wedding. On the day of our wedding, she was an absolute magician. She was punctual, polished, organized, and absolutely unflappable throughout the evening. We needed a day of coordinator but what we got was so much more. My fiance (now husband) and I thought we had everything taken care of with the exception of the final details. We had already booked the DJ, hair & makeup, the venue, had our invitations sent out.... what more was there to do??? How little we knew.... Alexa's organization and expertise blew us away. We filled out a number of online surveys so that she could make sure that she had every last detail taken care of. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, to the order that our family members would walk down the aisle, to who we wanted photos with (and who we didn't), toast speeches, what songs we wanted played and when, EVERYTHING was addressed and on the day of our wedding, she made sure that neither one of us had to worry about a thing. She attended so many of our meetings with our venue (even though we had a coordinator at the venue) and had an answer for us every time a minor dilemma or problem surfaced. Alexa also provided a number of helpful suggestions for seating charts, cards, first dance moment, re-use of floral arrangements to save money and so much more. I could tell you about how intuitive she is or how quick she was to respond (which is probably my biggest pet peeve when working with people). Or how on my wedding day, she was invaluable and handled everything with class, ease and a level of professionalism that is rarely seen. In the last 30 days before the wedding, Alexa stepped up to help with the final coordinating, which greatly reduced the stress on my fiancée (now wife) and I. Even for minor details- like when I realized that my dress had gotten wrinkled en route to our venue- Alexa had a solution. I don't know what we would've done without her! I would give them 100 stars if I could! The decor was fantastic, along with their suggestions for activities and vendors (i.e., petting zoo, soft play zone, etc.). In addition, we had a couple of dietary needs (i,e, kosher), and Jamila was able to locate the best vendors for the job. On top of finding vendors who could accommodate our other needs (i.e., vaccinated) since we had several kids in attendance. She eloquently prepared a 7 course meal that began with passed appetizers. Her crab cakes are insanely good. I typically am not a huge fan of lamb, However I am a huge fan of Emily lamp pop. Her short rib is seriously the best I have ever had and the filet mignon was prepared to perfection. I loved every course. I am a foodie and she exceeded all expectations!

Girl About Town was so much more than just someone coming in and decorating. Girl about town…read more(especially Vic the person we worked with) was a support system for my girls and I. We all know that traveling as a woman can be a little nerve-racking. Having Girl About Town changed that for me. It was like I was flying into a support system. She checked on us throughout our trip and even when we landed back at home. I felt like I had a local person that I could contact at any point if I needed anything. The weeks leading up to our trip, Vic and I spoke many different times. She made sure I knew everything that they offered to make our trip one of a kind. She pointed us to local restaurants that I had no idea existed even in the last three time I've visited New Orleans. On top of the beautiful decorations, amazing charcuterie board, games, and special treats. She came back to the Airbnb after we left for home and cleaned the whole place. What a blessing especially since we had to leave at 8 AM and wanted to enjoy our last night. I would also like to say Skyer and Vic made sure we had a stand to hang the decor on because the whole building was brick.
