I was given very expensive furniture from a family member. Loved the aesthetics, quality, wood finish, etc. of the pieces; hated the smell of cigarette smoke they carried. Two very nice gentlemen came out to my home and cleaned two silk arm chairs and sofa. Unbelievable job they did. I am more than satisfied, still in shock because really thought the smoke smell would be there forever. Art did everything possible to fit me onto the next days schedule, in addition to providing me a REAL quote. He informed me of all processes; you can tell he really cares about his customers. Two friendly technicians came on-time, informed me of exactly what they were going to do, they literally worked their butts off! They didn't stop till every little nook and cranny was cleaned and deodorized. I would recommend Fresh Start to anyone looking for professional cleaning services. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Can't wait to get my carpets cleaned next! Kind regards, Christin read more

Fresh start carpet deep cleaned my carpets and made them look beautiful again. They gave us an estimate on the phone, scheduled 2 weeks out, and completed the work as planned. I'm a satisfied customer and will use their service again. read more

I was very excited to see the major transformation of my carpet after hearing great things from this company on Facebook and Yelp, but was completely disappointed!! Our appointment was for 9:00 AM and the technician did not show up until after 9:40 and didn't even call until 9:30 to say he was running late. In the meantime we were frantically calling Fresh Start, (on hold for 15 minutes) sending emails, replying to Arts email that said they'd be here at 9:00 on Jan 3. And after spending $200 on our carpet cleaning you can still see the high traffic areas around our couch. It looked better before they steam cleaned it. Soooo disappointing and waste of my hard earned money. I would have been better off renting a machine and doing it myself. read more

I will definitely recommend Fresh Start and will continue to use them in the future. It's a must with two dogs! I highly recommend calling Art! read more

I cannot express how impressed I am with the work that Art and his son have done. They tackled my extremely pet stained carpet with ease. They removed all the stains & smells and made the carpet look new. I never thought that anyone could get those stains out but I read the awesome reviews and decided to give them a try and boy am I glad I did! They also cleaned my sofa and love seat and have them looking like brand new. Art was very pleasant to work with and made the scheduling process very easy! Just moved to NJ from Oklahoma and our new place needed our carpets cleaned out. I looked on here and found a couple of places that had good reviews but Art actually took the time to explain how they clean our carpets and was able to fit us in before our movers brought in our furniture. The two gentlemen that came by were on time if not a bit early, which I like businesses that are earlier than later. They gave me an estimate time of an hour to finish the job but finished roughly around 40 minutes. The place smelled 10 times better than it did before! The men explained the deodorizer and how it will be strong at first but as it fades it will take any left over odors with it! Highly recommend them!!! Thanks for doing a great job!! read more

Bought a house in Haddon twp. Art and son were courteous, prompt, accomodating, and thorough. Scheduled them for 4 rooms, didn't mind adding on a chair and couch upholstery when they arrived. They were all done in under 2 hours (house was empty). All you could ask for. read more

Art and his assistant were extremely professional. We had our couch cleaned and couldn't be more pleased. If you need something cleaned this is the is where your search should stop. If I had more than 2 thumbs they would be up! read more

Art is super responsive and the work is excellent. I had my couch cleaned and an area rug cleaned twice. Depending on the rug, they will pick it up and take it to be cleaned. I also had it re-tassled and it looks brand new! They handle animal accidents very well. read more

I had a great experience with Fresh Start just now. Both Art and his assistant were professional and thorough. I needed to have my carpet cleaned and they did a great job. This company was great. Got back to me within a day of me filling out an online inquiry. We got our couches cleaned (to rid them of puppy pee) and the father and son did a great job and left everything smelling like fresh peppermint. The couches sparkled when they left and they left no mess at all. I was nervous about the visit but it really paid off. And by looking at other prices, they have rockstar pricing too. Everything is affordable and accurately priced. Only one cushion smells a little like pee but the rest is clean and fresh. Awesome guys, Arthur, the owner, is a very personable man. read more

I just want to say that the reviews I read were all true. Art was wonderful and a delight to work with. He was attentive to my carpet needs especially the pet odors. He was prompted.very professional and most of all he took pride in his work. Last but not least, his prices were very fair. Yes, Linda R. would call Art again for any carpet cleaning project again in the future. read more

Bought several used items for my apartment that were lightly stained and needed some dirt, and other spots removed. Called Fresh Start Carpet and found the process simple and efficient unlike several of the other service providers. The two servicemen form the company were on time, very pleasant and profesional. They cleaned the sectional and dining room chairs, cleaned up and were responsive to my questions and concerns. Couldn't ask for more. Furniture looks great, smells great and is ready for me to use. read more

I had my carpets cleaned by Art and his son who were very professional and freindly. They came on time, surveyed the areas and started working immediately. Art provided a walk through upon completion and answered any questions or concerns that I had. He was even able to steam clean a hand dyed area carpet for me. They completed an excellent job throughout my home in Burlington Twp. NJ. I will definitely be using them again in the future! read more

I love this service! I could not be happier with what they accomplished. My appointment was for 10:30AM. They arrived at 10:30AM as promised. After the walk through, I asked for the couch to be cleaned which was not on their order. They were able to accommodate the request & still be done within the 2 hour commitment they made. The two fellas were courteous and professional, and I cannot speak more highly of them. As far as the actual service, the carpets & couch looked as if they were just installed, and the carpet was old from when the house was purchased in 2000. The carpet cleaning was reasonably priced, although I thought the couch price was a bit high. That said, you get what you pay for & it was a thorough job that left everything 300% better than what it was. I will be using them again without a doubt. I would also like to add, it helps them and you if you prep your home by moving the smaller pieces of furniture and any collectables off of surfaces. You be happy that you did & removes some of the stress off of them. (My thoughts- not what they said.) read more

I hired Fresh Start to clean the carpets and upholstery in my elderly relatives house after they moved to assisted living. They had lived in the house almost 55 years and the carpets and furniture, although not that old, have been there for at least 30 years and never shampooed professionally or otherwise. Fresh Start did a great job on the upholstery. I was amazed. Rugs were stain free too. Highly recommended. read more

Definitely go with Fresh Start if you need carpet cleaning! I was in a jam because I wanted to have my carpets cleaned before I moved my furniture into my new home and another carpet cleaning service didn't show up for a scheduled appointment which was a couple days before the movers were to come. Fresh Start showed up the day after I called them, and now my carpets look brand new, and my home smells infinitely better. They were professional, personable, quick, and priced much lower than some of their competitors. If you're thinking about replacing carpet, consider having them professionally cleaned instead....it can save you a lot of money, and your carpets will look brand new. read more

Cleaned my carpets. That's why I gave 1 stars, I suppose they did clean them... Unfortunately that's where it ends. Art quoted me 1 price and charged me another. (I have the quotes in my texts). My carpets are 2 years old, no stains, not dirty.... now after the cleaning I have a bulge in my Carpet. I googled it and it's due too using to much water. I've reached out to Art a few times and have been ignored. read more

Just had my carpet cleaned. They did a very good job. Eliminated all my stains. However they neglected to tell me (when I asked if they accepted checks) They add an extra charge of $14. If I had known I would have gone to the bank and got cash to pay them. read more

I called stating that my father's sick dog had recently died, urinating throughout the house. I informed the owner that we used a home steamer to try and get rid of the smell and were unsuccessful. Art stated that his machine was a stronger steam and they should be able to address it. They arrived, completed the job in an hour. The team was extremely courteous and professional. The phone quote was $280, the charge was $240(plus an additional $16 for taxes since I used a credit card) They sprayed odor kill, which I did not respond well to - the smell was very strong. I waited a couple of weeks hoping that it would go away. I called Art and said the smell of the urine was still there, barely masked by the unpleasant smell of the odor kill. At that time Art stated that there was significant urine damage and that I would need to replace the carpet, padding and clean the flooring. I asked for him to return and at least do another steam to get rid of the odor kill smell. He said he would do so for an additional $100. I could not get clarity on what the $100 would include because he said he would make the determination when he arrived. The home belongs to my father and he was unwilling to pay additional fees when ultimately the only resolution may be complete replacement. I wish I could give this business a more positive review, I was impressed with the team and liked the phone exchanges with Art. I reached out on yelp, Art responded immediately, the conversation was informative and professional. He was confident and charming, I chose not to seek other businesses. However, Art over promised and under delivered. I can still smell the urine and odor kill, it has been a month. read more
