The lady taking my order was very kind and friendly. Unfortunately the banh mi was not good tasting and the lychee boba I had was the worst boba I've ever had. This is my favorite restaurant. The manager is an incredibly kind person, she always greeted us with a smile and took the time to come to our table to say hello. She made us feel truly welcome and was always so sweet with us and with my baby. The food is delicious, every dish is made with care and a homemade touch. I have had good experience 1 or 2 times. But unfortunately more times than I can count, I have had to wait much longer time than promised for my food because they are short staffed. Stopped in for the first time for a quick light lunch. First thing I noticed was no AC for these warm weathered days, although they do have a large fan which helped a bit. Service was friendly. Ordered iced Vietnamese coffee and shrimp fresh rolls. While waiting, at the counter seating, I was getting a bit annoyed about the smell. I can't describe it, maybe like a cleaning product. It was unpleasant to me to the point that I almost did not want to eat in. Also the counter seating is not very comfortable. The counter has an edge that's awkward to rest arms on. I was able to verify my order on the screen before payment. It's a small business and the little old lady who runs the place is so cute and polite; however, there is a small language barrier. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE !!! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I am not sure if the employee was just an employee, owner, manager or what but she has NO CLUE what she is doing. I placed my order online 25 minutes before I got to the store. She was struggling to understand the customers in front of me who had to keep repeating the names of the items that were listed on their menu. The customer was very clear and had good volume and I could tell they were getting tired of repeating "shrimp spring roll" and "chicken pho". The machine that processes online orders went off about 2 times and when I got to the counter and let her know I had an online order she told me their online order machine doesn't work literally after I watched it spit out a order ticket. She told me I had to reorder. And there wasn't an order for me. I told her no because I ordered 25 minutes ago and need to head back soon from my lunch break. She "couldn't understand" me. And told me I had to repeat my order. She then takes a notepad and scribbled my order and tells me 7 minutes. I agree to 7 minutes. As I'm waiting a phone call comes in and she goes to check the online order machine and says my name on the ticket!!!! She blatantly lied about the machine not working or having my order ticket simply because they decided to not even start on my order. The whole point of ordering online is for it to be ready by the time you go and pick it up. This business had no sense of urgency and for her to straight up lie about a machine not working as if I don't have two eyeballs watching the thing do it's job. The disrespect yall. It took over 20 minutes for my order to be done so almost 50 minutes in total from when I placed my order. I had never tried this place before and I will never be back. Then as I'm waiting someone comes in and says "I'm picking up an online order for Diana" one of the orders I visibly saw come from the machine the lady said "wasn't working" and instead of telling her the machine wasn't working she went to "check" on an order she knows damn well they didn't even start. Plus they were playing some weird ass baking ASMR videos on their tv so as I'm already agitated all I hear is the crinkling of pastry bags and the fart sounds from the piping bags as they pipe cupcakes lol. We were leaving Target and wanted a quick bite to eat so we decided to stop here. The place is small but very clean. The sweet auntie is super welcoming and customer service was 10/10. But more importantly, THE FOOD WAS SO FRESH AND GOOOOOD. My husband and I got the BBQ Chicken bahn mi, pork bahn mi, shrimp spring rolls, and a hibiscus cranberry refresher. Everything seems fresh to order and was delicious. I will say the hibiscus refresher was on the sweeter side but once the ice melted down alittle bit it was better. I ended up coming home and putting some more water in it and it was still so good. For the bahn mi, we DEVOURED them. Definitely recommend them! read more

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES! I just want to start with the owner, she was so sweet and reminded me of an auntie that you knew your whole life. She made us feel so welcomed and was beyond nice to my toddler! The food taste homemade and I believe it is. Everything is made fresh and to order - & I mean everything. I ordered the pho and Thai tea combo we could smell the owner brewing my tea to order. The pho wasn't your typical broth but more of like a chicken based broth but it was so good and I felt like it warmed my soul. For one: terrible service. We ordered online came when they said it would be done then was told it wasn't ready we waited another 30 min for a sandwich some fresh rolls and a "bubble tea" that was more of a slushy. For two: there was no one there and maybe 2 people came in and out in 30 min so it's not like they were busy. It took them almost TWO HOURS to make our small 25$ order. We paid extra cause we ordered online, figured it would be easier. But those few people we watched walk in ordered at the counter and were out before ours was done. The girl at the counter was so generous for our long wait that she gave us an extra FREE PEANUT SAUCE. (That was not very good) I would not recommend this place to anyone. I HAAAAAATE COMING HERE!! I am not sure if they just refuse to prioritize to go/ pickup orders or if they are under staffed every single time I have ever been here buuuut I'll list my issues. First of all as stated above the long wait. I wait to show up because I know they aren't fast. So I show up after THEIR estimated pickup time and it's always at least another 10 minutes. What honestly made me even more frustrated is when I was picking up orders for other people once and they just handed me everything mixed together in a large box. I had to ask for bags and organize everything myself and I am just thankful I have a history working in restaurants. Excellent, fresh, healthy, herbaceous food prepared in a Covid safe setting. The spring rolls are great with lots of lettuce and fresh vegetables. Full of fresh herbs. Lemongrass tofu rice bowl has crispy fried tofu with an excellent sauce, Vietnamese pickles, and fresh lettuce. Fried shallots are a nice touch. Jelly tea is blended and exceptional. Order is a little slow, which can be forgiven as everything is prepared fresh to order. Proprietor is very polite and gave us extra sauces. read more

I have always passed this place when driving on Bridgeport and I finally tried it. I ordered the chicken banh mi. I waited in the dining area while the lady went back to prepare my sandwich.
