a sandwich and a drink
Matt P.

We stopped on vacation here. The food is delicious, the sandwiches are freshly made with good ingredients, they even make their own fresh bread. I tried a double meat sandwich, toasted, optioned up. Very tasty. My family members also enjoyed their sandwiches. And we got a large soft chocolate chip cookie to split, Mmm! A great stop for lunch, and if you need any groceries that store is next door.

a sub sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and cheese

Big sandwich toasted and absolutely stuffed with meats (ham, roast beef, bacon) for $12. I stretched it easily to two tasty, satisfying meals. The line was long and it took forever for my sandwich to come out but that's showbiz baby.

Coffee and pie break. Good pie and coffee. Self serve coffee All was good Stopped in for a break and our 2:00 coffee

Menus laminated and laid out on the counter. The interior is super up to date and rustic. Basically like a gift shop offering food

This place is located right in paradise and 20 minutes from tahquamenon falls state park. It's very cute outside, trendy and touristy but still rustic for the UP. There is outside seating on a little patio. The sign states "always fresh, sometimes frozen" which is funny and honest. Inside there are a few tables but your surrounded by souvenirs... basically it's a gift shop with a counter to order food. Basic breakfast options with fair pricing. Snacks and drinks can be purchased to go for convenience which provide made in Michigan options. I assumed only sandwiches were offered but there's omelets, subs, pancakes, French toast and biscuits and gravy. The lady at the counter seemed stressed and overwhelmed. It was busy for a mid week early morning....she was a bit short. But I get it. Just saying. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese sub, full size we were informed is huge so my husband and I are sharing. Our son got an order of biscuits and gravy adorably named the treasure chest. The food was out fast and hot. The sub is the star of the menu for sure. Fresh baked bread with quality ingredients Cute place worth a stop!!e

Toasted Italian sub. So big & tasty!

Cute little place with really tasty, BIG subs and sides. I ordered the baked Italian sub. Tons of meat, cheese and veggies with seasoning. The coleslaw and potato salad are homemade and a bit different than most but very good. The place was busy, a line out the door. It took a little while but the subs are made with care. A great place to stop for lunch and maybe buy something too. They have a lot of nice decorations for sale.

BBQ Pork with coke can for size comparison. This is one heavy sandwich.

Ordered three sandwiches and all were fantastic and huge. Service was fast and the outdoor seating area was perfect. Would strongly encourage anyone to check them out.

Mighty Mac 1/2 sub.

Excellent (subway style) sandwiches and well priced. New and clean business and the people behind the counter were working hard.

Smell of bacon hits you as you walk inside…read more Staff are warm and inviting. They greeted us upon entry. Ordered a pumpkin butterscotch bar (made today), plain latter with oat milk, green mango tea and a Mediterranean turkey sandwich (multigrain of sour dough) for a shared snack. $21.41 They tend to run out of their cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning. No cinnamon roll. You can add cream cheese, PB and other toppings onto your baked goods. They do charge a CC surcharge. The pumpkin butterscotch is overwhelmingly heavy with the butterscotch chips. The pumpkin flavor is nice. It's a tad dry. Would like it better with chocolate chips instead. The latte with oat milk is good, the coffee is flavorful. The Mediterranean turkey was ok. The multigrain was extremely hard, the kind that will tear up your mouth. Not a lot of hummus to it. It's good it has the yellow peppers or it would be really bland and tasteless. The green mango tea is good. Good flavors. Perfectly steeped. It's quiet in the seating area, louder hearing the staff's conversations in the back kitchen area.

I ordered and left because they were kind enough to make something 3 minutes before close. The coffee is always fresh and hot. I love the leather couches they're comfortable. Definitely worth the stop. :)

The treats smelled amazing but I was looking for yarn and other crafters. Perhaps an update to the listing is needed to clarify if this business has moved, closed or changed their name and focus. Also this area of the downtown has gotten quite run down since I last visited, 2 or 3 years ago. I would think twice about being here alone late in the day.

Decor is warm and inviting; a sofa, some chairs, and a long work table are in the front of the shop. Various types and weights of yarn are stocked throughout Shabby Motley. There are name brands mixed in with local yarns that are either spun, dyed, and/or woven in Ontario. And did I mention the coffee? YAY!!! What better than sipping an iced latte' from a small mason jar while deciding between Amethyst Merino or a handspun Merino/Silk/Coridale - so I bought both! I cannot figure out why the shop is listed in the Art category - there is beautiful stuff, but it includes yarn, embroidery, needle felting, weaving, needlework supplies, buttons, and did I mention the coffee and treats?
