My husband and I recently moved to Miami lakes and his old barber shop is very far and always too busy so we called this place randomly and they immediately found a spot for me a to fit us in. I appreciate hard work because most people today just want to close up shop and not take customers in late hours. However they did. Damian took care of him and my hubby is really picky but he was very satisfied with his cut . He gets a skin fade (I believe that's what it's called) and it gets progressively longer to the top of his head. I love that he did look very good once he was done. Eddie the barber and owner of Fresh Barbershop, did an amazing job on my Dad! He was very pleased with his cut. Very friendly and fun environment. Kids are welcome. A few video games so that the kids can be entertained. And there's also TV's for your pleasure while you're getting your cut and a snack machine if you get the munchies. Another 5 star review. Well deserved on our recent visit. Whenever I'm in the area and visiting my Dad, we head out to Fresh Barbershop so that he can get pampered. Yes, men need pampering too! What man doesn't like to get spoiled every now and then?  My Dad got the works. I'm talking a hair cut, a hot towel and shave, and he even indulged in a facial. We know we will have to wait, especially on the weekends, but it doesn't matter because I know my Dad will be in good hands plus I'm spending quality time with my old man. This is a great place to come and get a haircut. When you walk in you're greeted by a friendly group. If you don't have an appointment you can simply write your name on a list, everything is super organized and clean. They have comfortable sitting, the decor and ambiance is vey warm and welcoming. Everyone is very nice and professional. The most important thing is that all the barbers are really good at what they do. My personal experience was with Chiky who cut my hair and did a fantastic job, he was super professional and gave me an excellent service. This is definitely my kind of place. read more

Looked up this barbershop online, seems like everyone is giving them 5 stars. So I said, why not give them a try? Right? So, I set up an appointment in their site- even got a text message that confirm my appointment. Once I get to the place, I go in and ask for "Eddy" -as he is the owner of the place. Tell the receptionist that I have an appointment with Eddy. With a look on her face as if I didn't know what I was talking about, she said, eddy does not take appointments. I show them the email and the confirmation text. After looking confused, she brings Eddy in. Once Eddy greets me, he tells me that he does not take appointments. I show him his own site and the appointment section. I mention to him that I found them on yelp that I want to get a cut with him. Eddy goes to tell me that he has 2 people in front of me and asked me to come back next day. At this point, I am pissed. Sir, I just told you, it's my first time. I found you on internet, made an appointment with you, in your site & confirm appointment. Now you're asking me to come back tomorrow?. I am sorry but you just ruined my whole experience of wanting to get a cut from you. Thank you so much for your help Eddy. Just what I look for in a Barber shop, local, family owned and cozy. When you walk in the place looks fresh (see what I did there?) with very bright and natural feeling lighting. The decor is very welcoming, and the smell conveys the same feeling. The staff seems really nice and they are attentive. I had Eddie cut my hair and I will be back to get it cut again in the future. I have straight hair and no one I go to seems to ever get it right, I'm glad I found someone. Price wise they are also very reasonable, and better priced than most other places in the area. I'm usually not one to leave a Yelp review, but needed to do so in this case. I've been in Miami exploring different barbershops for a couple of months now, and I think I just got the best haircut I've had in years. If you go here, ask for Rei. He is extremely meticulous and precise, so when you get a fade, whatever's been buzzed is actually uniform (unlike other barbers out there who do one pass with the trimmer and leave random longer hairs on the side of your head). Also, he's very good with the blade and this is the first time that I did not need to come home and "fix" my tape or my beard/mustache. I found out about this barber shop on a whim when I Googled for local barber shops and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. The hospitality was outstanding as well as the service. Fresh Barber Shop treats its patrons with the kind of customer service which seems to be more uncommon these days. From the moment you walk in you are treated like family. When I first walked in it was busy, but the owner Eddie took my number down and let me know he would call me back when a barber was free. If I can leave more than 5 stars I would. Not my first time at this new and amazing barber shop about my 3rd time now and it is still great. The owner (Eddie) is respectful, humble, takes care of customers, barbers and business all together. It feels great to go to a barber shop where it's not so loud and you can actually feel comfortable to have a conversation with anyone. Waiting time is very rare but if you do end up waiting a few minutes for your turn the seating is just like home where it's very comfortable. This is the best barber shop ever! First of all the owner is very nice and great customer service! All the barbers are also very nice and very talented. My son is two and was getting his hair cut and started to cry so much. They all were so nice and started to play baby shark for him and made the experience so much better. I called and made a "first time" appointment for my husband. On the day of the appointment, it took my husband 15 minutes to find a parking spot so he was late. He had a "first available" appointment, but because he was late he was treated as walk-in. My husband texted me that he was waiting as a walk-in so I told my husband I would call him back and I proceeded to call the front desk and ask what was their appointment cancellation policy so we knew for the future. I told the individual who answered that my husband was waiting at the front of the barber shop and I wanted to know about their policy for canceling appointments due to lateness (i.e. do they call the customer, etc). The individual was hostile to my questions about their appointment cancellation policy and I when I pointed out he was being hostile he responded that he was "busy manning the front desk and cutting hair." I thanked him for his explanation and hung up. My husband then texted me that the same individual who answered the phone was bad mouthing me and he (my husband) heard the whole thing. Let me be clear, I am not making excuses for my husband. He was late to the appointment. Period. The barber shop was right to skip his appointment and move on to the next person. With that said, (1) the customer service I received on the phone call was sub-par, and (2) bad mouthing a customer's wife when they know that customer is within earshot is the definition of unprofessionalism.
