I was a little disappointed that as an extra side dish I only received 3 polenta chips but I needn't have feared as coupled with the burger my tummy was left sufficiently full. I've observed many dishes leaving the kitchen & they all look delicious. I'll be sure to try their poached chicken salad on my next visit, which will no doubt be soon. North & Eight have a variety of cakes, muffins & pastries as well as yummy ButterBings. So if you have any space left after your main course you can thrown in an extra treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. Before the food arrived we noticed foul smelling water under our feet, presumably coming from an overflowing outhouse. People at the other table also notice the smell. The staff seemed unconcerned, so we had to move ourselves to another table, by pushing 2 x 2 tables together. The staff eventually came to attend to us, but surprisingly, were critical of us for moving thereby losing a table for 2. Needless to say, we were not impressed with food, service or ambience on this occasion, so much so that we asked if there had been a change of management. The answer was "no".
