Verrrrry expensive. You watch the weekly sales ad, and then go. Don't go there for regular shopping. I watch the ads. Sometimes they have my meat/pork of choice on sale and I go hit them. Sometimes they have vegetables I enjoy on sale, so I hit them. But I don't not go there for any other reason. And read the ads well. Inspected meat means, tough meat, no fat. that would be considered pressure cook meat..... But I wouldn't EVER touch inspected steaks... Only go there for the sales products... This is my local fresco and I often come here depending on what I'm looking for. They often have great bogo deals and good prices in certain meats. But overall they are more pricey ok your everyday groceries. They also have a not so clean vibe. The employees are a bit or miss. read more

Before we begin this Fresco use to be a Winn Dixie and there free cookies were always amazing but it's time to begin this review so for context we're driving to Fresco from Fort Lauderdale about a rental vehicle for my father we have arrived now at 11:28 AM I'm gonna try and try there free cookies or if there doing a sample thing I'll try those too not too many people here yet walking in not many people it smells just like bread the aroma kinda of the building is like sweet bread in here looking at the prices in the meat isle it's like 9 bucks for lunch meat jeez we haven't got over to the bakery yet I'm at the Bakery now and THEY DONT DO COOKIES ANYMORE I was so excited to get one for free from there just like when I was younger but I guess only Winn Dixie did that sad there cookies use to be amazing (they do have cookies in bags in a shelf but nothing like a free cookie) overall it was a good experience inside though not busy got in line easily 2 people behind us and now we're leaving at 11:50 PM easy like that I asked the woman at the bakery department and said "Free Cookies" and she just nodded no with a smile behind the mask and put her head back down to work I walked away disappointed but remembering how good they use to be I'm just gonna leave a 3 I really wanted to review the Cookies they had but unfortunately I guess they stopped doing them or changed back home now putting away grocery's disappointed but I guess Fresco changed they even changed there shopping carts and redesigned a lot of the old look inside which is surprising unfortunately I couldn't do a review on there food like I wanted to just like Dumpling King but I do highly suggest to anyone to try the Food they sell at Fresco or try and shop there have some pretty good deals yes good prices have gone up but there still great prices there (and they sell Aloe plant) (yes this was meant to be a food review but I didn't work out no food found this is a review of both my experience at Fresco and my attempt to try there cookies sadly the latter failed) GO TRY FRESCO have a great day if you read this and hopefully they can bring back the Free Cookies or do a food sampling thing sometime (This review was written in fully Chronological order of my whole experience) (The prices have gone up significantly at Fresco as we were walking through that's something I noticed immediately just beware) (Unfortunately I could not try any food at Frescos and if I visit again which is most likely I will create another review and post it here any reviews that I attempt to make and can't because a situation occurs or Food isn't present I'll still post the review and explain why from now on that is my policy when it comes to reviews) read more

I recently learned that Southeastern Grocers, Winn-Dixie's parent company, decided to open many Fresco y Mas supermarkets in Miami and Broward County mainly to cater to the Hispanic population in South Florida. Located in the Hollywood Festival Plaza, Fresco y Mas Supermarket, which means Fresh and More, (formerly was Winn-Dixie) is large and clean with organized aisles which are visibly labeled in both English and Spanish. The vibe in the supermarket is very laid-back. You can find such things such as produce, beer & wine, grocery, frozen items, packaged meats, baby & pet care, health & beauty, etc.; as well as various departments such as butcher/seafood, bakery, and a cafeteria where you can get hot prepared Latin foods. There is a slight similarity to Winn-Dixie, but Fresco y Mas offers more traditional Hispanic prepared foods, produce, products, and familiar brands for Latin American cooking at affordable prices. Things like tres/cuatro leches, flan, Cuban crackers, maltas, malanga, plantain/yuca chips, Cuban/Puerto Rican bread, and many more. The employees are pleasant. For the time being, you can use your Plenti card, but in July, a new rewards card will be issued to customers where you can still use points on groceries at the checkout and the card can be used at not only Fresco y Mas, but at Winn-Dixie, Harvey's and Bi-Lo supermarkets. This use to be Winn Dixie but now its Fresco Y Mas so you know it has a lot of ethnic foods which is nice. I like their produce because I can buy a mamey and all the other unusual fruit at a very good price. They also have a good selection on beans. I was a little disappointed on a few items on the shelf being expired so watch the date. I told the clerk and he took the expired can corn away as well as the lunchables green beans. Love that I found a special bowl with lid to make flan for only 2.35 and it's stainless steel. Parking is a breeze and the people working there are nice. Make sure to get their card so you get additional discounts. read more

I went to FRESCO SUPERMARKET to buy mac and cheese for my baby and when I got home I realized that it was expired on JULY 1, 2019 I returned to FRESCO so they can give me the money back and the mananager LEE told me that he could not give the money back because due to the covid19 they dont make any refund So I decided to leave the expired nasty food from almost a year ago and I left with out my money and you can be sure that in my life I return to that supermarket. please dont go over there manager dont care read more

I went in to get cold cuts around 12pm and they said i had to wait a half hour. Now this is peak time for people to come get lunch. I was told every 4 hour bay law they have to clean the machine they open at 6am so 4 hours later would be 10ish. I think they don't understand customer service. Than I was in line the person in front of me let me go in front of them because I had 2 items. The cashier scanned the person behind me stuff I said excuse me that's not mine the responses with a attitude from the cashier was you need to tell me that. the people and myself said that was very rude. Than she shorts me $5.00. I've heard very bad things about this place. watch what they charge you and count your change before you go. I used to love this Supermarket first because of the people and then the good deals until recently when I felt discriminate, I am not sure if me being black or with latino roots or a combination of both was the cause of the incident that occurred on 12/28/21 at 3:58 pm with a cashier by the name DAVIELKA when I extended my hand to reach for goods and she choose to put them on the counter for me to pick them up and when I asked politely to please handed them to me on my hands (please check out video recording) she refuse . The was a Manager around(I don't remember his name)that his actions to defuse the situation made me feel worse I think he could handle it better. I'm a Co Manager hence I know about customer service. Please! I do not want any offers or coupons or free stuff and I do respect anyone point of view (even when I'm not agreed) but discrimination is one thing I will not tolerate ever so I will seek legal advice about this one matter. Customer service is the worst here, in particular, the meat department. Careful asking for assistance or asking a simple question such as the availability of a type of meat. The response you will get in return is with attitude (rudeness) and dismissive. It seems they don't care about making a sale (profit$$$) when a customer is willing to pay for the product. Favorite super market of mine, used to be a win dixie before. However now with the change of name it has that latin touch. Prices are great. Deals all over the store shelves. Make sure you present your Plenty card to catch the discounts, in you don't have it make sure to het one. read more

I am finally fed up so only giving this store 2 stars because of the very rude service that I have been on the receiving end of from the two guys working the seafood area. Most of the time I have to literally go behind the counter and knock on the door to get some service because no one is ever there to help anyone. In addition; while I am also an English Second Language person I resent being treated like less because I do not speak Spanish. Not all Hispanics speak Spanish either. English is the national language and should only be the expected language when out in public. I don't care what other language is spoken as long as I am not being treated poorly because I don't speak Spanish as a customer. Tonight it happened again and the guy literally told me I need to speak Spanish; I know because I recorded it and had it translated. It's sad that I had to do this but after being repeatedly disrespected; I felt I just had to. Why continue shopping here? Well because with the exception of the seafood section my experiences are pleasant, I save money by shopping here, and it's convenient to my home. I am not the problem. The people are very nice and it's a better deal shopping here compared to other nearby grocery stores that are more expensive. I came in to buy a couple things and walked out with a lot more than I thought because they had so many good prices. I got the free reward card they offer for an extra discount too! I can build points to use for groceries or gas so its worth it. They open at 6am so I can go and get my coffee there at the cafe in the morning but the customer service doesn't open til 8am. I thought this place had good deals also in the dollar zone. They have cheap stuff that is actually good for a dollar. The cashiers are very helpful and were happy to answer all my questions! I decided to shop here because of some of the deals. On week 2 I had to stop completely. To start off with the fact that some of their food is expired. The cashiers are very young and rude. One cashier had me waiting for 10 minutes at the register without saying a word until she started scanning my stuff, and then to top it off she almost broke my things while scanning and had an attitude.
