I wish I could give negative stars. They don't even deserve a 1 star. This is the worst company…read moreour company has ever dealt with in the 20 years we have been in business. They are completely unethical. They gave us a verbal quote and never gave it to us in writing after multiple requests - red flag, but we went ahead and conducted business with them because we knew the salesman and had done business with him through another company for many years. Unbeknownst to us, they quoted residential-grade materials, while they knew it was for a commercial project, which is why they wouldn't give us a written quote. They pulled the old bait-and-switch ploy to get our business. When the materials were delivered and we told the owner we couldn't use residential products on a commercial job, he said that's what he always gets for his commercial clients. Any electrician knows you cannot use residential-rated materials on a commercial project, especially when the specs clearly call for commercial materials. By the time it was all said and done, we were $15,000 OVER their quoted price and higher than all of our other quotes and it was all because of their screw-ups. The owner has yet to call and speak to us about any of these issues, and we have stopped by the store and, of course, he's not in. We have asked repeatedly for him to call us, and we never heard a word out of him - oh, except he had his salesman call to see when we were sending a check. And, yes, we did the right thing and honored our obligation and paid the entire bill, even though it was much higher than quoted. Just because this company is unethical and will not do the right thing, we did not stoop to that level. Just be warned; this is an awful, unethical company!! We have dealt with many suppliers over the years, and we have never encountered a supplier like this before - the worst of the worst!! Maybe after seeing this the owner will call us, but I doubt it.

Our outdoor compressor unit has one of those garbage ECM's for the cooling fan. It died after about…read more5 years, but the unit is still under warranty, so I was calling around to find a reliable company to do the warranty replacement. Calling Southeastern Cooling ended up being a very smart choice. From the moment I began speaking with Adam on the phone, I was impressed by the level of courtesy and professionalism I experienced. I explained the problem and what sort of service we required. He managed to source the replacement ECM and schedule a tech to come out in just a matter of hours--same day. Gage, our technician, was prompt, courteous, professional, and quite humble--that's an often overlooked trait these days. He was able to get the ECM swapped out fairly easily and got our system back up and running. As someone with nearly 3 decades working with tech, I was, of course, carefully paying attention to his work--he managed to impress me a number of times with how carefully and thoroughly he handled the replacement process, even ensuring that the wiring was just as neat and tidy as how it was when he started working on the unit. Overall, this initial experience with Southeastern Cooling was remarkable and we will likely call them again when the need arises. Though, when we do call, we'll be requesting Gage.

Wouldn't have selected one star if it didn't make me…read more Built a new house and these lowlifes didn't wire appliances to the fuse panel. Didn't screw the tub drain into the PVC pipe under tub and first bath the floor flooded. Called to have it fixed and a tech was sent and couldn't fix it by himself and it took several days to get two guys back to fix it. They had to cut a hole in the closet wall on the back side so that had to be repaired. Had leakage from under a toilet and tech came out to fix it and i had two other issues to look at and the techs couldn't stay to look at them. I was angry and i called and cussed at the receptionist because every time i call she has excuses for the guys having to leave and excuses for when they may or may not come back. So now a gfi plug went out and there's a bang in the ceiling every time i flush the toilet. Because i lost my cool with the receptionist the contractor says he will not come back and honor his one year warranty on the half ass work he did. This is a new construction home. All of this crap work should've been checked by his lead man or himself before he was ever paid in full. I was told it was all checked but obviously it wasn't or wouldn't be having problems. If they screwed up on the plumbing and electrical, i would hate to see a full construction build by them. Oh, and from what I've been told, the owner works under another guys license. I'm not 100% if this is true but this was told to me by one of his own employees so certainly sounds shady. Can't change the past but i can certainly run his name in the ground and hope he loses business.

Requested a quote for a small concrete slab and to have our spa wired. They said no problem and…read moregave us what we thought was a reasonable quote. We agreed, assuming that they knew regulations requiring the electrical wiring of a spa. Apparently they did not. The wiring was directly run from our electrical box, through our attic, with conduit run right down the middle of the brick on the side of our house and then attached in the middle of the spa (where the step goes, because apparently they didn't look inside the spa or ask us where we wanted the line). Spas require an "ON/OFF" switch to be within 5 feet and visible from the tub. There is no switch. The conduit could have just as easily been placed in a corner where it wouldn't have stuck out like a sore thumb. In addition, when the 'sales' guy came out and quoted the job, we were told the electrical could be run from our pool junction box. I was very surprised when I came out to view the work that the conduit was run from the attic and not along the bottom of the house as originally quoted. Meanwhile, while the electrician was working his magic, another employee was digging out sod where the concrete pad was to be poured. All the dirt and grass that he dug out was put on the concrete right next to our pool. As they were wrapping up for the day, another person showed up to 'give an estimate' for the concrete. He also said he was going to charge me to move a sprinkler head and haul away all the dirt that that is piled up and just waiting to blow into my pool. When my husband arrived home, he was immediately on the phone with them about the discrepancies in what we thought was being done vs. what WAS being done. We were assured that the owner was going to meet us at our house at 5:00 the next day to work on a solution. By 5:30, he had not shown up and we were informed by his office staff that 'she forgot to remind him'. At this point, we told them not to return. We asked for a bill for the wiring that was run. We received the bill yesterday (4th of July) and have had two phone calls since asking us when we are going to pay. I would highly advise steering clear of this company.
