Outstanding communication, easy and quick pickup. I ordered a custard fruit tart. It was exquisite and beautifully made and not a morsel left. Everyone loved it! Sandrine's pickup area has the charm & esthetic of a French patisserie- keeping it authentic and cohesive across the board and her pickup space felt very warm and inviting. I had an a Pecan Apple Cinnamon Puff Pastry. This is a puff pastry-- lighter, and sweeter than a bread/roll dough base or doughnut for that matter. The appearance is deceptive in that it may look like a rectangle pecan roll but it is so much more! The first bite has cinnamon, yes, but enhanced with what? Vanilla? Almond? And there is a hint of apple. The second bite definitely included the sweet filling-- an apple filling but not like apple pie, more like an "apple paste", like "almond paste" found in some pastries. The filling contrasted nicely with the flavorful puff pastry. The occasional pecan nut added both texture and a nuttiness. Honestly, it was so rich, I could not eat the whole thing in one sitting! I would eat a few bites, then return it to it's wrapping and stick it in the fridge, to later nibble on a bit more. Eating it cold did not affect the texture and the taste was still wonderful, but a bit blunted. Room temperature brings out the whole mix of tastes found within this wonderful bit of heaven! Definitely my new favorite pastry! read more
