I could not believe the representative's behavior and tone as he "didn't care" anything about the situation other than getting that document signed. I wound up relinquishing my meager inheritance in order to continue to get my sister's remains cared for. I was reminded that they keep remains for 3 days before disposition. I had not heard of stories like this except in the news and I was completely shocked they pulled this on me in this day and age. GO seek out a company that offers honesty and dignity to the deceased and the mourners. They committed fraud and theft by doubling up their burial fee through this method. They called back few hours after that saying instead of the funeral home she had been taken somewhere to be declared dead because they didn't have the information that hospice had already done that and notified them. If that wasn't bad enough, we had made and paid for all arrangements ahead of time and they called us again saying they were unable to fly my mom to El Paso as had been arranged. It was easy to contact them, they're professional, gave us enough time and an option of timeline to pick up my departed mom, and very respectful. Everything can be arranged online so even when you're heartbroken, taking your time preparing for the remains can be eased a little and that little is a lot considering the circumstances. It can also be prearranged. If you don't want those people you live behind to prepare your final resting place, you can preplan everything. There are options for last goodbyes, a chapel if needed. I'm recommending this especially to those preplanning people to take care of those you leave behind one last time and make sure how you want your end is prepared as you chose for yourself.
