My loved one has been a resident at Fremont Hills Memory Care for several years. With every visit I am impressed with the level of care she is receiving. My loved one always seems content. I know she is being fed, always dressed in clean clothing and receives the best attention. She has received nothing by outstanding care from Marta Galdamez(Memory Care) and Dorinda. I cannot express the peace in mind in knowing that my loved one is cared for so well, especially since I am hundreds of miles away. Marta anticipates my loved ones every need and makes sure that it is taken care of in the most exceptional manner. Fremont Hills always keeps me informed and up to date with what is going on with my loved one, especially since I live so far. The other caregivers are not Chinese speakers but definitely are caring to their patients. Nora is there all day and treats the patients as if they are her own parents. This job is not easy and not just anyone can do it. You can pay me 6 or 7 figures $$$ but I will have to decline. This job takes a lot of TLC and patience. To see what the patients go through is hard on anyone. Evelyn and staff are there to help the patient and the family out so we can go about our daily lives knowing our love ones are well taken care of.

No red flags or things that seemed out of place, and the residents seemed truly happy to be there.

Our mom lived at Aegis for over 10 years with most years in their memory care area. She started in…read morethe regular assisted living apartment then transitioned to the memory care after her dementia worsened. The building was very clean and was kept up to date like a five star hotel. We were there long enough to see building improvements like new furniture, floors, carpets and paint, etc. The care staff was very patient with my mom. They found different activities for her as her health declined over the years. They worked hard to accommodate her changing needs. They had a very good care staff to resident ratio. You can't expect one-to-one care for an assisted living facility, but they tried to keep the same care staff assigned to our mom over the years. This provided consistency of care and was a comfort to our mom. During Covid, the staff had a great track record of zero Covid until Omicron hit in 2022. They took extra precautions beyond the county's regulated health mandates and recommendations. For example, Aegis provided an outdoor pagoda and tent for visiting in private when no indoor visits were allowed. They isolated the care staff and resident once one infection was detected. The staff worked very hard to keep residents stimulated with extra activities in their apartments when no group gatherings were allowed during outbreaks in 2022. Prior to Covid, they had parties for Chinese New Year's, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Mother's Day where family members were invited to attend. We loved the food served by their excellent chef. You could even order a meal for family and dine in a private dining room with your family member. Nursing staff was exceptional. We were always informed of any health changes. Even a bug bite was reported the day that they noticed. We were always able to talk with a nursing staff member when we called or get a call back within hours. Since my mom had a PPO/Medicare health plan, they had a local doctor available who came to Aegis regularly to check on mom. A podiatrist and a beautician was available (for a fee) so that we didn't have to take our mom out as her dementia worsened. Aegis' General Manager, Emily, was very responsive and had always kept us up to date on what was going on especially during Covid which at times was a daily email update. Over the ten plus years, Emily had been very open and approachable. We were able to share all our concerns and she always looked for ways to accommodate us. All in all, our mom was very well cared for and we were treated like an extended family.
