It brings together hundreds of stalls where you can play carnival games, enjoy varieties of food (German classics such as Bratwurst and Currywurst, crépes, noodles, waffles and the usual delicious sweets). You'll even find a Bavarian beer hall to help you prep for Oktoberfest. There's a tonne of fun to be had with the many rides as well, ranging from several "house of horrors" to dodgem cars to spinning rides, shooting rides, roller coasters and the carnival classic strap-people-in-then-throw-them-around-and-spin-up-in-the-air craziness. All-in-all a great time for everyone! Weekends are typically crowded, as is the final evening with the fireworks show at 10pm. If you come for the final day (Tuesday), you'll enjoy some great bargains at the dutch-style plant auctions (pick up a bunch of house plants for your entire apartment for just a handful of Euro!). Entrance is free - just pay per ride (typically €2 - €7,50).

Though the roller coasters are top notch. Mamba is aweeeeeeeweeeeeweeeesome. And don't rule out Colorado Adventure (train roller coaster) the turns and the gravity spins are top knotch. The shows are interesting. The sport show is cool with some nice stunts (the do this light show that I still can't understand why....Germans!). The Ice Dance show is really good too. They do some interesting things on a tiny ice rink. The fun house is truely thought provoking, They did a lot of work on it and it has some interesting parts. We didn't get to see the China Acrobatic show...they were setting it up while we were leaving to go eat. Food is okay, we ate at the Tapas restaurant. Not really worth it, and they don't serve Tapas! Just main dishes. We ate at the buffet in the restaurant. Interesting mix, got to try some different meats (kangaroo, rabbit, zebra). Slightly expensive, but tasty stuffs and great atmosphere. To get to the hotel buffet you have to leave the park and walk around the outside and then enter the hotel, then go through the lobby to go outside. Definitely will be going back.

We live in Wiesbaden so the drive is fairly quick and there is plenty of parking. The lines are fairly short, particularly in the morning. The day that we went was fairly overcast, So that may have kept some people from showing up. We had lunch there which was reasonably priced and delicious. Tickets prices are based on height in cm., and can easily be purchased online. Kids under 100 cm are free. Americans beware, German liability laws are much different, and it's very much "participate at your own risk" park wide. That said, as long as you're exercising smart parenting practices, its pretty awesome! For instance, you can literally control some of the rides as a parent. Many low intensity rides have no staff supervision - you on and off-board whenever the next empty cart rolls up. There's a wide variety of things to do from ball pits to epic slides, a trampoline park, small roller-coaster, petting zoo, legit log ride, and numerous carnival-style-dizzying rides. The food was excellent: high end cafeteria style schnitzel/wurst/burger/fries, along with coffee baristas, flammkuchen, and candy/cotton candy/gelato/popcorn stands. We parents and the kids had a blast. Strongly recommend for parents and kids under 12.

My favorite is still, undoubtedly, the Wildwasserbahn/wild water slide/log flume. But beware: You will get quite wet. When I went there as an adult, the general feeling was: Boring. It wasn't very crowded, as we went during the week, but most of the rides seem to be aimed more at children and families. The wild water slide was still fun and I also enjoyed the Devil's Mine quite a lot. Prices range from 19,90 Euros for kids (Under 3 year-old are free) to 23 Euros for adults (24 in July and August). There are special offers for groups and yearly tickets for those planning to visit more often!
