I experienced two shows there, one in the main big club(The Unguided show)and one in the smaller club(Free & Easy festival) which is right next to it. Both venues have pretty good acoustic and overall sound felt nice! Had a good time there!

This place has multiple bars/clubs/music venues. On a weekend, one can easily go there and hop around the area for different types of music (electronic, reggae, hip hop...you name it, they will most likely have it). If you get the munchies after a long night out, no worries, there is a food stand conveniently situated there to satisfy your cravings. But I am giving 4 stars for its rock music venue (Halle). I like the size of the venue, not too big but wide enough to move around the crowd. The acoustics of the place was decent when I went (it was an indie rock concert). Prices for beers are average-priced, but they sell the local Munich craft beer (Crew Republic), which gets bonus points from me. Whether it's a concert or a dance party, it's worth the trek to go to Backstage. (Ok, it's not too much of a trek as it's still within Munich city perimeters...but I'm lazy to travel more than 20 minutes to go out.)

In this case, KH is like the others. While the sound wasn't horrible, it was hard to hear everything (e.g. couldn't hear the singer well) and sometimes overwhelming with the bass. 2. Large = sterile-looking. On the contrary, KH is visually appealing. A former functional boiler house, many of its apparatuses remained. The additions of metallic chandeliers and colorful neon lights make the venue eye-catching. 3. Packed house in a large venue = full-blown short-person disadvantage (i.e. one sways his/her head back and forth between the crevices of two taller people to catch a glimpse of the performers). We went to a sold-out show, so it was packed. But KH impressed me. On one side of the venue, there was an elevated part with stairs. We were lucky enough to find a place to stand on the stairs, and I no longer had the short-person disadvantage. There is also a balcony (perhaps for guest lists), but it is situated far back from the stage. 4. Large = pricey. That holds for KH.

There is a wardrobe but unfortunately we failed to find it until after the concert as the signage was poor and it was not in an obvious location. Beer was 4 € or so plus pfand for the plastic cup. It's a 10 minute walk from Freimann U-bahn station.
