Delivery date had been confirmed (not just requested, but CONFIRMED), with a 3 hour time slot given. With delivery being CONFIRMED between 11am and 2pm, I was forced to take a day off work, resulting in a loss of earnings. Now we are being told that the one delivery driver they have (odd, for a company that claims to be one of the fastest growing in the country) has been taken ill, and they will NOT honour the agreed delivery slot. Obviously i sympathise with the driver if this is genuinely the case and not just a poorly constructed lie, but as the company seems to be completely incapable of finding a replacement driver for the day, and the best solution they could provide is to book another delivery slot next thursday (meaning losing another days wages, to wait around for a delivery that will most likely not turn up), I have decided to cancel my order. They did not even have the decency to call back to deal with the problem, or attempt to arrange delivery for later in the day (which would have been inconvenient, but acceptable), nor did they apologise. The level of customer service received from this company is APPALLING.
You can't operate a business that grinds to a halt the second one person takes a day off sick. There are quite a few employment agencies out there, it's really not that hard to find someone to do a days work.
You can't CONFIRM that your business will do something, and then decide to change your mind at the last minute without a viable excuse.
(CONFIRM - Verb, meaning to acknowledge with definite assurance).
You can't claim to be "one of the fastest growing delivery services in the UK" if you've only got one driver working for you. This is just insulting to those companies out there that do actually put the effort in to maintain growth and good business practices, Freight4u are amateurs at best.
Don't waste your time with these guys, just look at some of the other reviews. Hopefully the companies that subcontract to them will eventually take note, and they will close down for good. Which isn't hard to imagine if they've only got one driver.
They should be ashamed. read more
