Even though the police officer did not issue a ticket to either party, Afla decided on their own that my son was responsible to get out of paying us for the uninsured motorist protection. The other person's car was impounded, yet Alfa sent us a one sentence response to the accident: that they were going to repair her car! So, while we were paying $5000 to insure our family, we had to pay a $1000 deductible (vs. what it should have been: $250) while the other party without insurance got off scott free and got her car fixed for nothing. Then, Alfa dragged their heels for 6 weeks, botching the estimate by contracting out a one person shop to do the estimate (the body shop said they always use him because he charges roughly half of what others charge) refusing to fix some of the damage for vague reasons, and then trying to tell us that our son admitted it was his fault in phone conversation with the adjuster. After demanding a transcript of that phone call, we discovered that not only did our son not admit to the accident, he pointed out details as to the negligence of the uninsured party and details as to how they actually caused the accident. After contacting the adjuster, his boss, and writing to the president of Alfa, we have had zero response. We have now filed a complaint with the BBB. The end result is this: BEWARE OF WHO YOU GET YOUR CAR INSURANCE FROM. LOOK AT THE COMPLAINTS ON LINE AND YOU'LL SEE THAT ALFA HAS A 1 STAR RATING AND THEN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM ALFA.

He said I lied on my application so they weren't responsible to cover my car. Not only that they put the claim on my insurance report so it made my car insurance quotes balloon to 1000 dollars a month for full coverage moving forward.

I have a knew agent that I picked Ken Bishop III, my previous agent retired after 30 years. He called me after hours only being my provider for few weeks and directed me to claims and assured me he would check on it ongoing. Moments later a claims agent called and sine we have the police report she progressed rather quickly. Now this is roughly 8:30pm, she said there was a short waiting period to find the vehicle. Next day Ken Bishop, lady claim agent from the night before and and next level agent called my wife within an hour in the morning. Our vehicle was paid for less than 36k miles and State Farm paid us better than we expected. I did my homework and based on the VIN number it was a very fair price. Unfortunately I have a payment now because to the dealership/body shop fault BUT MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH KEN BISHOP III WAS SUPERIOR. THANK YOU KEN AND THE TEAM.

Alfa's roadside assistance program, which they have turned over to a third party, is completely…read moreincompetent and unreliable. You might as well call your granny to ask if she can send over her wheel chair to help get you out of the road. In May, I requested lockout assistance. I waited alone, at night, for 3 hours for the provider but finally gave up and called someone on my own. Three months later, I needed towing. I sent my grandson to meet the tow truck with the keys. He was called twice by the provider after 2 hours and told that they have no record of a ticket for my claim. The tracking number provided did not work.Then Alfa sent another provider, and we received a message estimating arrival time for 90 minutes. An hour and a half passed, and again the tracking number did not work. When I again called Alfa, the rep told me he had a message from the provider that they had picked up my car. This was not true, as my grandson was still waiting with the keys. I then called Alfa again and was told that ETA was now 15 minutes. Another half hour elapsed; the driver called to say he was 45 minutes away! The Alfa reps with whom I spoke did their best to help me, but the third party coordinating the providers have proven consistently inept. Needless to say, I will begin looking for other auto insurance tomorrow. If you have Alfa, I recommend that you do the same before someone in your family finds himself or herself stranded on the roadside.
