It's taken me a while to stir up the courage to write this review but I feel what I experienced at…read morethe clinic needs to be shared, it might save another animals life. I brought my cat here in 2019 when she wasn't feeling well and I needed to get her seen asap. St Michael's had many open appointments and told me to bring her in. I should of seen this as a first red flag, but when they needed to run testing, they absolutely wouldn't allow me to be with my cat to comfort her during testing and instead brought her into some back room where I couldn't see her or anything other going on. They were very rude and adamant about this and I was trying to trust their judgment but I heard my cat screaming back there and I was mortified to hear that. It was absolutely not normal and not necessary because she had always been curious and loving at previous clinics. Never once have I experienced her having a reaction like this at a vet and it still hurts my heart today thinking that they could have hurt her and I didn't have any idea or chance to stop them. Once testing was done, she was diagnosed with kidney disease. I was offered one route of treatment only, even after trying to explain that I needed something doable, being a college student and caregiver for my mother at the time. After this, I was prescribed the most expensive options available. A $45 bag of SubQ fluids, which were so expensive due to added electrolytes, every two weeks, and the most expensive bag of KD cat food that they carried, which ended up starving my cat because she would not eat it. After I told them that the treatment they gave me was not working for her, Whitnee had the audacity to sit in the room and tell me that I needed to euthanize her because I could not afford it. I can't believe that they tried to convince me that killing my cat was better than finding any other route of treatment to help her. I decided to move to a different veterinarian and seek a second opinion, where they prescribed her a $12 simple bag of fluids, worked with me with finding a food that would work for my cat and let me be in the room to hold my cat during our visits. My childhood companion cat is now 21 years old and has surpassed seven more years of life as a very happy girl. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the b of an owner Whitnee Patten at St Michael's, who loves to laugh in your face because shes smarter than you by the way, and sought out another opinion. The visits at this clinic traumatized my cat for a very long time but also traumatized me taking her to any vet after. They might have a couple nice techs but these people are not animal lovers, definitely not cat people, and would rather kill your pet over money then waste time finding a solution you both can maintain. Avoid them at all costs.

Vetable is awesome! Dr. Robertson the best Vet. He gave our dog the attention he never got from the Vet practice we had been taking him for years. He recommended we hold off on neutering our puppy until he was at least 12 months old because recent studies have shown that neutering can have an adverse effect on the health of a dog. He educated us that the most notable studies indicate a doubled risk of hip dysplasia among males neutered before 12 months of age and the increased risk of mast cell tumors and hemangiosarcoma in dogs neutered after 12 months. If you want what's best for your animal pal, and you want to know why, the highly educated approach, and quality of service is worth every penny.

So incredibly impressed with everyone at this clinic. They are all so warm and friendly and the vets know chickens! I saw Dr. Robinson and she was wonderful....very knowledgeable and gentle with my chick. She also rescues handicapped chickens, which I thought was incredible. Very glad I found this clinic....it's hard to find any veterinarians that will see chickens.

I don't know if this is her usual attitude, or if she was just taking it out on us, but we walked out before the appointment even started. I have never been to a vet with that much attitude and since we hadn't even been introduced, it clearly wasn't anything that my dog or myself did. I guess if you catch them on a good day the experience might be alright, but if they're having a bad morning they will take it out on the nearest person. There are plenty of options for vets in Loveland, I would recommend any of them over this clinic.

AND they were more than obliging to treat T-Bone in the sink where he had sought refuge. Sad as it is to say, not all vets are kind people, really. He decided to do a tick panel. Never heard from them. That was on a Monday on Friday I decided that I needed to take him VCA. They discovered a seed in his ear. They gave him all the blood that they had. They couldn't keep his blood red cell count up. He died on my lap at 1:00 am only 14 hrs. after I took him in. Stike two: This past spring my thirteen year old Brittany had a gagging cough. Tami at the front desk immediatly diagnosed over the phone as kennel cough even though he was current on his shots. Antibiotics prescribed. No difference. It turned out to be a heart issue which I now try to control with two medictions. Strike three: I was charged for a heartworm test on my 12 month old. She was taken back to lab and returned 37 seconds later. Strike four: The front desk never acknowledged you anymore when you come in or leave. No hello how are you doing? I spent over $2,000 in there in less than 3 weeks on both of my dogs and not once did I hear a Thank You. Strike five: I decided to go to a different Veterinarian Clinic that came highly recommended. They did radiographs for his heart. Supposedly these were done only two weeks earlier at BTAH. I was shocked when They told me and showed me that my dog has lung cancer also. Why wasn't this diagnosed two weeks earlier? How sad to see a BTAH go do the tubes like this.

In my decades of having cats and dogs, I've never had a vet with a sharper eye than Dr. Foster. She instantly notices the smallest change in my dog, from the color of her tongue to a curled dew claw. She's the absolute best.
