Do not use HENSLEY HARDSCAPES!…read more I used this service to improve and stabilize a shared driveway in a house locate in the Montford Historical District of @Asheville, in July, 2025. When we purchased our new home in Asheville from out of state, one of the unexpected stressors was…read morefiguring out how to get our lawn maintained before we even moved in. Because we live in an HOA, we needed someone we could trust to mow the lawn while we were still hundreds of miles away, and after using Yelp's project quote feature and receiving multiple estimates, The Mowing Magician immediately stood out. What impressed us first was the responsiveness, attention to detail, and overall value. Our property is 1.25 acres with a large sloped front lawn, plus a steep hill beyond a retaining wall in the backyard. To make things even trickier, the house had sat vacant for over 200 days, so there was significant overgrowth - especially in the steep backyard area (see before/after photos). From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. He fit us into his schedule the same week we reached out, proactively confirmed the appointment the day before, showed up exactly when promised, and communicated thoughtfully throughout the process. Since we weren't there in person, it meant so much that he took photos, asked questions whenever he needed clarity, and sent before/after photos so we could see the results ourselves. When you're trusting someone with your property from out of state, details and follow-through matter and The Mowing Magician absolutely delivered. Reliable, communicative, professional, and easy to work with. We would absolutely use him again and highly recommend him to anyone needing lawn care.

I have so many great things to say about Girmann's!…read more 1. They are Covid-careful, respectful, and prioritize their clients' safety, which I truly appreciate! I was able to get the lawn mowed without needing to interact with anyone in-person. They called in advance to let me know when they were coming as well. 2. The crew did an excellent job! The two guys they sent took the appropriate time to make sure everything was properly cut, trimmed, and cleaned up. They weren't the type to sacrifice quality just to save themselves some time. 3. They have an eye for detail! One of my path lights that's staked in the ground had come out, and I just never got around to putting it back in the ground. One of the guys actually put it back in! Thanks for going above and beyond! 4. They can come every other week if you want, or as needed. And they won't pressure you to buy extra services from them. I've worked with other landscaping companies in the past and have never had as good of an experience as I had with Girmann's. They are pricier than the last place we used, but so far they are proving to be worth it. I highly recommend giving them a try! I especially recommend them for elderly folks and people who only live in their home part-time - they seem honest, and will get the job done true to their word even if you are not physically present to check.
