When I initially needed an attorney, I was very concerned with choosing someone who is ethical and trustworthy. My attorney would be my face and voice in every legal matter, and I wanted someone who would be respected while still fighting for me. I interviewed several attorneys in the Columbus area. After meeting with Jamie, I immediately knew that he was the right person to represent me. Jamie has wonderful communication skills and has always been accessible. He has outstanding legal skills and expertise. Jamie is a critical thinker with strong attention to detail, and is client-centered. I always feel like the most important person in the world when I speak with Jamie. Over the years I have needed Jamie's assistance several times. He has never disappointed me. He is truly an amazing lawyer who always takes the time to talk to me and help me resolve issues. In fact, Jamie has represented me three times over the years, and he has won every case. Although this may sound a little silly, I love the "lawyerly presence" that Jamie exudes. His outstanding legal skills are coupled with his professionalism. I called back regarding my retirement distribution and was told that my attorney no longer works there. They promised someone would get back to me twice. Today 4 weeks later I receive a letter in the mail explaining I needed to submit another $1,500 retainer if I wanted them to complete my retirement. I did not request Amy M. Levine & Associates to do the QDRO, it was put in the divorce decree that my ex was supposed to pay a professional to do it. I only called because he didn't go to a professional he had his attorney do it. I just wanted to know what I could do about the situation. I'm out of thousands of dollars and have tons of unanswered questions due to having Amy M. Levine & Associates represent me. I would never recommend Amy M. Levine to anyone. :(

Don't waste your money. He didn't respond at all to the other parties attorney with various…read moree-mails. Eventually the other parties attorney copied me on the follow up e-mail so that I could see he wasn't answering. He gave me paperwork to fill out and he did not submit all of the required paperwork to the court even though I had filled out the paperwork in a timely manner. The paperwork he did submit, he did not go over with me like he said he would before submitting. I had no idea if I was including too much information or not as he didn't go over it with me. I don't think he even looked at it. Additionally it was very much a rough draft and I was going to clean it up for a final draft before it being submitted by the court. I ended up switching attorneys a few months in because he was not doing his job and his communication skills were terrible. Upon switching attorney, he said he would send me paperwork and things they had recently received however, I received nothing from him or his office. He cause a lot more stress and confusion in an already emotionally charged and confusing situation. I highly DO NOT recommend him. Take my advice and find a different lawyer or you will wish you had.

I just called another lawyer and got my questions answered in 5 minutes. All the guy to do was be somewhat polite. If you are that busy have an assistant take the call. After he called to notify me, I immediately called my bank and told them it was an approved transaction. However, between PayPal and my bank, it took a long period of time to reverse the charge. A couple weeks later, the law firm dropped my case and I had to get a public defender within 2 days of the court date just because I was under the impression the bank was taking care of the matter but they assumed I was "playing games." I hired them to avoid going to jail for something I didn't do, but ended up going to jail for 30 days. After I got released, the bank finally released the payment of $2000 to them and the law firm took all of it. They said it took that long to go my discovery documents. I even offered to give them up to $800 for their time. And then he has the nerve to get nippy with me on the phone when I was trying to explain exactly what happened. Zack is only looking out for his pocket. Do not hire. They don't have your back.

What concerned me most was watching the individual repeatedly state that they were not going to accept an agreement. Byron L. Potts strongly encouraged the individual to accept the deal. The individual then went into a private room with him and, after returning, stated that they had signed the agreement. Based on what I personally witnessed, I was concerned that the individual may not have fully understood the consequences, their available options, or what they were giving up before making that decision. Important information and circumstances that could have been considered in the individual's favor did not appear to receive the attention they deserved. A person paying for legal representation should expect their attorney to carefully examine the facts, use available information, explain every meaningful option, and advocate for their best interests. Based on my personal observations, it seemed that his approach focused more on negotiating an agreement than aggressively challenging the case. In my opinion, if someone is looking for an attorney who will thoroughly examine the evidence, challenge the case, and fight for the strongest possible outcome, they should carefully consider their options. What made the situation even more concerning to me was that the outcome reached appeared to be something the individual could have accomplished without paying attorney fees or receiving the level of legal advocacy I would expect from an attorney. Some of the steps and decisions involved appeared to be things the individual could have handled on their own, which made me question what meaningful legal representation they were actually receiving for the money being paid. This review reflects my personal observations and opinions based on what I witnessed.
