Stopped here on our family's weekend getaway for hot coffee and my family loved their green mountain coffee so much I went back there an hour later for more hot coffee and some fresh homemade warm blueberry muffins. Three Medium coffees, 3 muffins & a NY post only cost about 9.00 all together the paper being the most $2.00 I couldn't believe the more then reasonable prices! Loved having small talk with the locals in the back while preparing my coffee. I went back a 3rd time that day to get more supplies. They pretty much carry anything you need. Fresh food to order, help yourself for purchase pastries and muffins. Also Groceries, and whatever else you may need. My elderly parents also called when they got home to say they stopped their on their way home and the more then helpful clerk helped my dad bring out his coffee to the truck along with his change. I'm so thankful for that woman that went above and beyond for my parents!

It was the Center Tuftonboro General store and Post Office. OMG! When I walked in, I almost cried with nostalgia. My grandparents owned Dorions Market in Rumford, ME when I was growing up. This was almost a carbon copy. The floors, the smells. And then, the beautiful proprietier, Mary. She was dressed like she was working at Saks 5th Ave! She saw the emotion I was emitting and gave me an awesome, brief history lesson on the store. And, when I said I needed ice for a party down the street, she said "Oh, are you here for Maribeth's 60th?!" Love small towns, love authentic, old General Stores. What an absolute treat for me!
