IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER... PLEASE READ: This review is only for the auditorium and not for the church…read moreor religious service. This review is not meant to endorse or critique a place of worship or services. I visited the auditorium for a concert on Friday. The lobby was small, but still nice with decorations. I didn't see any concession stands, so we ate somewhere else before the event. When we got to our seats, we noticed that our tickets weren't checked, even at the entrance. We sat in our assigned seats anyways, which was at the balcony. The seat was a typical arena style seat, but it was comfortable enough. The AC inside was cold and perfect. Looks like the venue is able to hold about 2000 guests. We had no issues viewing the orchestra and the monitors there. The bathrooms in the balcony area was small and only accommodated a couple people at a time, so there was a little wait. Though, it was pretty clean. Other than the security screening, we didn't see much staff at the venue. Wasn't sure whether the screening was common at the venue, or requested by the concert people, but the security staff were mostly polite and professional. They did however, leave immediately after the show. There was staff to help with parking and heading to the venue, but that was it. Parking was free and ample, so it was a plus compared to other venues. For a concert, I would visit the venue again. However, I would be aware of the lack of concessions inside, security screening requirements to enter, and not much staff indoors. But the free parking, comfortable seating, and great AC makes this a nice choice.

Wow, Northland Church really knows how to evoke the Holy Spirt during the Christmas holiday. This…read morewas my first time to Northland Church and experiencing their annual Christmas at the movies show. The venue is beautiful, spacious, and inviting. Church volunteers working the event were friendly and helpful. Tickets were reasonable $15-$20, the sound and light show was amazing, the choir and orchestra were fantastic, and our view from the balcony was excellent. Before the event started, we were able to enjoy a duo playing Christmas songs on saxophones in the lobby area. There was also a coffee shop inside the lobby if you needed a little pick-me-up pre-show. Volunteers were selling snacks and drinks for a fair price. Around the corner from the coffee shop there is also a book store inside where you can purchase bibles, book accessories, and other great reads. Nancy has seen the annual Christmas show here a few years now. She couldn't make it this go-around but explained to me that on the last two Christmas show's there was a much larger orchestra when compared to the choir. Regardless, this event was very special and honestly, I have no previous experience to decipher what year was better than the other. All I can say is that the Choir was HUGE, I've never seen so many people singing together in person; magnificent! There was a LOT of Traffic into and out of the church parking area for a Thursday evening. I guess they only perform this event two nights, so if you want to go, get your tickets early. The staff and local police did a great job with parking and keeping traffic flowing. I look forward to coming to Northland Church for one of their Sunday services as well. One of the volunteers explained that Northland Church has one of if not the largest armature orchestra in FL, which is pretty amazing, especially since you can't really tell, they are just that good! If you are looking for great place to worship and share fellowship with family & friends, Northland Church might just be the place for you.

It's been 8 years and I still have nothing but great things to say about this church and Pastor…read morePaul. He is the most genuine and caring pastor I have ever met. He makes going to church fun. I also love how he notices new people who come in and gives them a warm welcome. So many churches I have been to in the past never noticed new people, even if you went for weeks. The music is great. The people are welcoming. And Pastor Paul delivers sermons in a way that makes you feel closer to god and in a way that is applicable to every day life.

I decided to take a drive one Sunday to find a new church and ended up at Christ Church of Orlando. From the second I got out of my car I knew something was different. Going in I saw people actually talking to each other and laughing together. People greeted me with warm smiles and I just got the feeling like this place was somewhere special. I remember clearly the message Pastor Paul gave that day. It was one that hit home for me and one that I was desperate to hear. That is not uncommon at Christ Church. Pastor Paul has a way of speaking to so many, but also speaking directly to you at the same time. His messages are relevant and applicable to every day life. He is funny, witty, and well spoken. Expect to laugh (imagine that at church!) and expect to leave a better person than you were when you came in. The people at Christ Church are genuine and sincere. It may seem cliche to say that it is like a family here...but it is. We're a bunch of imperfect people who love God and do life together. As a mom of a 4 year old, I can also speak to the quality of their children's program. My daughter learns about Jesus every week through fun games and activities and a quality curriculum. She loves coming to church and has made many great friends that now play together outside of church which has gained me some great new mom-friends as well! Speaking of making friends...there are different classes/studies offered on Wednesday evenings and connection groups that meet in various parts of Orlando on weeknights. Groups are based off of special interests like cooking, biking, young families, bible studies, women's groups, men's groups, etc., and provide a fun and safe environment to make some great friends while growing your relationship with God. Christ Church of Orlando also hosts community outreach opportunities where we are able serve the local community together as a church family. If you are new to church, haven't been in ages, are looking for something different or are visiting Orlando on vacation, come check out Christ Church of Orlando. You won't regret it. All are welcome, come as you are :)
