I can't believe I'm the first to review!…read more I love this place! 8 months ago I was given a referral for physical therapy for issues I was having with my right hand. I chose this location because it was 10 minutes from where I live. I was assigned to Bonnie who's one of the hand therapist. She immediately made me feel very welcomed. She has a great personality and just made me feel comfortable working with her. She listened to everything I had to say and reassured me that what I was feeling was typical in terms of what I was going through (carpal and radial tunnel syndrome). She explained everything we were doing in detail and always ensured I had everything I needed. After a few weeks I stopped therapy, had surgery, and chose to return to MedStar NRH Pasadena because of the wonderful experience I had. I once again started working with Bonnie and had, what I felt, was a continuation of the best care I've had. I still come here for physical therapy due to a shoulder issue (I'm all sorts of broken) and still work with Bonnie. I've gotten to know the front office staff and they are always so professional and nice. I really look forward to my appointments because each one has been such a pleasant experience. Knowing that one day I'll have to end my therapy does sadden me because I've bonded so well with Bonnie. If you're looking for physical/occupational therapy where the staff truly cares I highly recommend MedStar NRH Pasadena. You'll find that you're treated with the upmost care and feel like a valued patient, something so rare nowadays. If you happen to need hand therapy, ask for Bonnie. You won't be disappointed!

This is the Physical Therapy part of The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in the Belcher…read morePavilion at AAMC. I went here for a severe back problem a few years ago. I had a decompressed disk in my lower back with such extreme pain I couldn't sit or walk or stand for too long. After several weeks of physical therapy I was honestly 60% better and could manage my pain again - without medication. I did daily exercise and traction. They have a mac-daddy traction device which I haven't seen at any other PT location. They also have an indoor track which you can walk or limp around for more exercise. It's a big location with a lot of different stations. The only downside is the parking garage - but if you're patient and plan ahead, you'll be fine. Just don't go in there thinking you're going to get a parking space immediately...you'll most likely have to go up a few floors. I generally park in the Sajack Paviliion and walk over on the people bridge....it's much easier.

They take the time to get to know each resident. They know their likes, dislikes, preferences, and routines, and it shows in the quality of care they provide. I am close by and always feel comfortable popping in to take my mom to lunch, or to stay and visit with her and the other residents and staff. This is a smaller assisted living, so it feels more like a family than some of the larger facilities. The environment is clean, calm, and welcoming, and has a homey feel. My mom is always dressed nicely, with her hair brushed and nails done. Her bedroom and bathroom are always clean. This facility is tucked back in the woods at the center of a small waterfront community in Pasadena. They have a walking path that goes around the building that backs up to a wooded lot. The deer frequently come up and can be seen from a screened-in porch. We are so grateful to have found a place where my mom is genuinely cared for, respected, and truly at home.

This place is so seriously understaffed that it forces poor quality of care for patients. I have…read moretwice waited as much as an hour for a nurse to respond to my call button. For parts of two days the call button system was shut down for repairs - with no warning given to patients. I think most of the staff have their hearts in the right place; they simply cannot care for us all. I have hired a private duty nurse to come in daily to check on me, as a form of self preservation. Only one more week to go!
