The tech checked the wall furnace and found that everything was working perfectly. But before leaving, he tested it for carbon monoxide leaks, just as a precaution. He found elevated levels of CO. Which, I will admit, had me worried. But money is tight these days so I rolled the dice and just decided to watch them like a hawk. The only surprise was that there were no surprises! They did exactly what they said they'd do. And when they said they'd do it. For the money they said they'd charge. And didn't leave a mess behind. The roof looks like it never happened. We've had a few big winds since with no sign of loose panels or leakage. So I can find no reason NOT to give this company the full 5 stars. Job well done. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again should I have the need. You'd be wise to do the same.

Thankfully, when I came home to see our amazing tile guy installing some hideous piece of leopard print back splash, I whipped out my photo of the mild color stone actually purchased. Did he have to tear it out? Yes. Did it cost us, again? Yes. However, Alpine Granite still gets five stars for graciously acknowledging the mistake, and taking immediate steps to correct the issue. Haley and Flora were wonderful to work with and insisted on a second measurement to ensure accuracy. Josh also gets five gold stars for his meticulous install, professionalism and gracious attitude.

You get what you pay for. Looks nice on the outside but as we watched the construction every day…read morewe pointed out issues that they ignored until further into the build so previous work had to be redone. Windows were cheap, you can hear wind howling through. Load bearing porch beam was only sitting on 1/4 of its pier on one end of porch, the other end was supported only by the sheeting from the garage. Since my husband is in construction, we added additional supports after workers left. There are no braces in the floor so the floor bounces as you walk on it, but we'll go down into the crawlspace and add the 2' braces. Roof trusses had up to 1 1/2" gaps with the room framing which left the ceiling with a crack. Communication was so-so and there was no supervisor inspecting anything except a couple times during the build. You would think that since they knew my husband would be living on site, they'd take care to do things right the first. Fortunately we took pictures during each stage to document issues. I feel sorry for the buyers who don't get to see the bones of their house. Really sorry we used this builder. We've now lived in the home for a year. At least it's insulated well.

As usual, I strongly suggested All Valley Heating, from personal experience and previous customer feedback! A few days later, he came in to thank me for my recommendation: "They came out right away, they diagnosed and fixed the problem, and their bill was VERY reasonable." Personal: Two years ago, my blower died in December, so I called All Valley and James came out right away and replaced it. Ahh, heat again! And just TONIGHT, with temps dropping and snow falling, my furnace once more refused to work. So I called the after-hours number, and Anthony called me back. He walked me through the trouble-shooting, and told me exactly how much an emergency service call would cost, for him to come out and replace the digital thermostat. (Since I can buy a new one tomorrow at work, that's what I'll do.) Best of all, I cleaned all the contacts on the old thermostat, and now it's working well enough that my house is nice and warm.
