Today we learned 5 attacks from open guard, a triangle from mount, how to secure hands from back, and an effect guard pass by stacking then passing the hand behind the back. Also showed how to take the back from guard (These things make sense to me). The point is, you are going to learn a ton. He then let me and my friend roll and then he gave me three pointers: scissor and grab leg, don't let the guy sit up and sweep me, and another move to escape. Highly recommend coming here!

What's more, Steve is an excellent teacher who is an accomplished and skilled practitioner in the combative martial arts, and who is very patient with his students. I have trained in the martial arts when I was younger, as well as, in the military. Working with Steve Gregoire at Gregoire Combatives in Cathedral City is hands down the best environment for training and conditioning that I have ever experienced. Call Steve Gregoire! As an on again off again martial arts practitioner myself, I wanted to find a gym that offered great instruction and a profound level of patience for more analytical, and sometimes hesitant, practitioners like myself. Thus far, I can say that Gino's teachings, and the atmosphere all his students provide, has kept me coming back for more. The training is definitely challenging and grueling at times, as does any great martial arts studio provides, but well worth it when you can walk out of there knowing that your fitness level and self defense confidence increased that much more. For those of you trying him out, I highly suggest coming to the open mat sessions too. It will really help you tighten the holes in your fight game. Also, the monthly tuitions are by far the most affordable compared to other gyms in the valley.

I'm so glad I finally started - and at this school. Josh is pretty amazing, very patient, very instructive. The assistant teachers are also really great to learn from. But it's not just the great teachers here, it's the whole class and environment. There's nobody here trying to prove how tough they are, everybody is very kind, very welcoming. This is exactly the right kind of environment to learn in. I've also put both of my daughters in class, with great results. Both of them have shown real improvement in their behavior and their grades, and I know this class is part of that. They're still a teen and a preteen, so, yeah... but there's something about the class that is just helping them all around. The girls are also taking the striking class - with Kathy Long. As in, with champion kickboxing champion and movie star Kathy Long. It's pretty spectacular. All the jiu jitsu and striking they can learn is all just one price. I can't recommend this class enough, for kids or adults.
