With the stress of making a cross-country family move, deciding between moving companies, U-haul…read morerental trucks or freight companies was difficult at first. After lots of phone calls, estimates, and Yelp reviews research to others, I decided to give U-pack a try. BEST decision ever!!! From the initial call to Daniel with customer service to final calls with Laura from the local freight hub, the whole experience was top notch. The price to move from Los Angeles area to south Louisiana was $2800, much cheaper than Uhaul or any moving company. The trailer was dropped off on time, and assistance to have it picked up on a Sunday was offered. They really went out of their way to help us get it delivered on time before a long Memorial Day holiday weekend. The estimated delivery time was 5 to 7 business days. The actual time was 5 days, picked up on Monday and delivered on Friday! Awesome job! At time of pick up, they instantly adjusted the price to be less than initially estimated because we used less footage in the trailer. We were able to see the location of the trailer throughout the move at all times. Everything arrived in perfect shape! Very professional and customer oriented company!!! TIP- Buy plenty of moving blankets, and lots of rope to tie the load every couple of feet.

Unlike most moving companies, they worked at a moderate pace and were very careful with my things so that nothing got damaged or broken. I requested two movers to transport me from a two bedroom apartment to a three bedroom home. I appreciated their patience as they took their time and did not rush the move. Everyone knows that moving is never easy, however, Abba Movers made this event less stressful and I am grateful for how accommodating they were. I also had one other stop during my move which was included in the moving fee. Management and staff were extremely professional from the time I scheduled the move to the big day. I told them when they arrived that all my stuff would not fit...and I was correct. Had to pay for an hour and a half of travel time because they had to make 2 trips. They dropped my favorite piece of furniture, an armoire, while coming down the stairs, and one of the men was caught under it. The top came off and was all scratched up...now I have to try and paint it. They ONLY MOVED FURNITURE and would not move ANY boxes, tvs, or pictures!!! Cost me over $900 and I still had to rent a uhaul to move all of our boxes, tvs and other personal items. I called the man I had been communicating with via text message and he was very rude and told me that it was MY fault that I had given him the wrong amount of items that I had (even though he never asked about the items). When I questioned him about "the baby" trailer, he started crawfishing and wanted to know who told me that. He said he would only knock off $50 from the price and that he "would not argue with me about it". I was not arguing with him, I only questioned why I had to pay for travel time, and was very calm during the conversation. I paid the entire bill and tipped the men who worked, because they were polite and they did work hard. Still upset about having to try and fix my armoire, but more upset that they left a single mom with 3 kids having to move all the boxes and personal stuff and spend more money to get into our home.
