At the beginning of August, my Hyundai experienced an unexpected engine failure. I remembered…read moreseeing My Car Doc's sign on the street corner by my apartment a while back, so I took a chance and had my car towed there (here) and I am SO glad I did. I don't even know where to start. When John called to deliver the bad news and walk me through my options / his recommendations he was so kind and patient, answering every single one of my questions with plenty of detail. The night before, I had left him a voicemail and had mentioned a possible warranty on the engine in passing. He went above and beyond by calling local dealerships and checking (I believe it was) NHTSA to see if there were any active warranties that would cover me. The entire time I felt like this team had my best interest at heart. I know they probably see tons of customers a week, but they made me feel like more than just another job, which meant the absolute world to me. Unfortunately, my best option was to get a new car. While I worked through everything with Hyundai and searched for a replacement, they've let me keep my car on their lot for a generous amount of time, leaving me with one less thing I've had to worry about during this very stressful time. My Car Doc is a masterclass in customer service and I cannot recommend them enough!!!! I have so much gratitude for this team, and I will absolutely be back for any future services on my new car.

Highly recommend!

But it's what I needed to hear. They recommended I get rid of my prized truck. That to fix it it was going to cost too much and that the smarter move would be to trade it and move on. They were right. I'd been fighting that decision but it had to be made. And for that quick visit they charged me nothing. And yes, I did move on. I shucked the truck. Welcome to another Jeep in the family.

I've been taking my cars to Ron for probably 6 of the 8 years that I've lived in Indianapolis. I've…read morebeen taking my cars to Ron since even before he opened his own shop. Unlike many shops, including any of the big chain/corporate shops, Ron and his staff aren't just looking at padding the bottom line. They'll tell you what they recommend replacing/fixing now only if it really needs to be replaced/fixed now. If something still looks good, they'll tell you that, and tell you if they think that you may need to have it replaced at some point down the line. If your front breaks are still at 60% but your back brakes are in dire need of replacement, they'll tell you that, and recommend only replacing the rear brakes because you still have plenty on your front. Another great thing about Ron's is they'll even show you what or why they need to do something before they do it if you're waiting on site or otherwise just want to see it, just to show you that everything truly is, on the up and up. Ron's is the first place I recommend anytime one of my friends tell me they are having car issues. Those who do take their cars to him, will often thank me because the quality of service they received was excellent, and the prices were much lower than they were expecting.
