Worth the visit if youre in copenhagen and have the time (its an easy trainride)- we paired it with Kronberg Slot as its only about 10 minutes away. Especially women- I think. This Frilandsmuseet is actually collection of houses from mostly the 19th century. They are very authentic and you can still feel and smell life at the time. I liked all the buildings, but most impressive was old wooden windmill, yellow spooky hospital and fishermens house. Everybody can find something they like. But most beneficial is to see how fortunate we are to be born in these days. I feel respect for old generations (not only Danish) and also more understand how important education and evolution in every direction connected to life. Even though I have 5 stars, I think there may be little bit more to add to this place. For example showing original old crafts (smith, fabrics making, cooking, shoe making, beer making, ....) so we could touch, smell and taste flavor as our ancestors. The ponies for kids and carriage for adults were nice, but more hands on activities would be great. I had a lot of fun with my family and hopefully we will be back sometime soon!
