Dr Teunissen repaired a torn ACL on my 9 yr.old corgi. He…read more recovered very well. Dr. Teunissen was very kind and explained everything to me in laymen's terms. The staff were extremely helpful too. I highly recommend Dr. Teunissen for this type (TPLO) of surgery. Sincerely, Sheila Shorewood, WI.

DO NOT SEE DR BYL! First went in July of 2025 because our…read moredog was showing signs of liver storage disease. They could get us in the soonest to see a specialist, which was Dr. Byl. After meeting with Dr. Byl, he recommended having a biopsy done which we did. The biopsy confirmed the liver storage disease and he put our dog on a medication that would help detox his liver and had us change his food. We came back in two months to have his liver enzymes checked again, and they had gone down a little bit. We then came back two months later to have them checked, and they were elevated again and two months later, we came back and they were even more elevated. During each of these visits, I asked Dr. Byl if there was something else we could be doing to help with supporting his liver and he told me no there wasn't. The last time we visited in February the only thing he suggested was having another biopsy done, which is extremely expensive. Each time we visited with Dr. Byl, he was very cold did not seem to really care about our dog as an individual just talked matter of fact about things and seemed to want to hurry us out of the office. I decided to try somewhere closer to home with a new specialist because we were driving an hour and a half to get to Port Washington so we tried WVRC in Waukesha. I cannot tell you what a difference it made with seeing this vet compared to Dr. Byl. She was warm compassionate seemed to genuinely care about Angus's health and getting him better. She said she felt like he had inflammation that was keeping his levels up and put him on a new medication. It has now been a month since he went to WVRC and his liver enzyme levels are down considerably. After spending $8550 at Blue pearl, Angus was not getting any better. I must say that the staff at Blue pearl the receptionist, techs and the surgeon were all wonderful to work with, but Dr. Byl fell short helping our dog and wasted 8 months of trying to stop further damage to Angus' liver, a lot of our time and money. I would not recommend him as a specialist to anyone.

Things were going fine for several years until this past year when we installed ring cameras, with the worst event occurring yesterday evening while we are still away out of the country on day 4 of a 7 day trip. We hired Tom and Angela to come to our home for 4 visits per day, 3x15 minutes and 1x30 minute visit daily to feed our fish, two cats, and care for our blind dog. We requested that our dog be walked, played with, brushed, and generally shown empathetic treatment and attention while we are away. Numerous times over the past year, we have observed Tom during the 30 minute visits sitting on his phone and not engaging whatsoever with our dog other than feeding her and taking her outside to go to the bathroom. We were not thrilled about that, but we had been working with them for so long we overlooked it. Last night was the worst though... Our dog is blind, so she needs to be treated with extra care and love. Tom spoke to her gruffly and yanked on her collar/leash to try to get her to stand up, and she slipped her collar. He put the collar back on her, and started to drag her once again. She slipped her collar, and he aggressively grabbed her so firmly by the scruff of her neck that she was yelping and crying. I tried to call him twice to address what I felt was very inappropriate treatment of our beloved pet, and received no response by phone text or email. I emailed their main email address trying to get in touch with Angela for a conversation, also no response. When Angela came to our home to do the bedtime visit, I spoke to her through the cameras and asked her to give me a call at which time I explained the situation and my concerns regarding Tom's treatment of our dog. I requested that Angela performed the remaining visits for the next three days until our return. I sent her the video and Tom the video from the incident yesterday evening. I received a text message this morning from them that they are not willing to care for our pets any longer. Upon our return, I was not planning to use their services ever again. So here we are, in a foreign country, without care for our pets. You will find more empathetic and caring, pet sitters elsewhere, do not put your beloved pets at risk by putting them into the care of people may decide they are no longer able/willing to care for them while you are out of town.

He kept the dog in cages and they would occasionally get to run on feces covered gravel. Ever see a King Charles Cavalier with a eye rotted out? Yep that's Leroy Fhlug. He kept the puppies in a concrete bunker with air conditioning. When he collected to many old dogs who ate into his profits he suddenly had a FIRE and they all died. Hmmm.... a fire? In a concrete structure? Then overwhelmed by grief he bought all new dogs and started breeding en mass. My first question... Were gasoline barrels kept next to he building with candles on top? My second question... Did INSURANCE pay a claim for these withered animals that suffered neglect and had horrible living conditions? Fill in there blanks Arso#? Insurance Fr@ud? Leory Fhlug needs to be in JAIL. Hopefully he never comes near another animal and his business stay shuttered since there is no market for puppies anymore.

Then he reluctantly grabbed the mom from a dark room and shoved her in the cage with her puppies. You can clearly tell she was not taken care of at all!! She looked malnourished, matted, and abused. By this time, my kids fell in love with the puppy and we bought him. But this decision haunts me... I wish we just walked away. I can't get this image of the poor mom and how she looked out of my mind. From my experience, I don't believe LeRoy is a caring breeder.. his focus seems to be about profits. In retrospect, I wish we never set foot in his place.
