We recently went to the Point of Rocks library to use the Memory Lab (which is a very nice service that the library offers) to use the equipment and digitize some videos. The librarians and the volunteer who helped us went above and beyond to make sure that everything worked well. We really appreciate everything that FCPL has to offer!!

MOCO libraries had a very long waiting list.. Like I'm #400. I even checked Denver whwre I travel frequently and they have a waiting list over 400! Even an electronic copy has a waiting list. So I check Fred. Co. Cuz its not that far when I'm in the area and visiting family. I check and there's on copy here. I sign up for a card online and reserve my book. My book was ready in a few days. I picked it up, and the very nice ladies gave me the 411 on all the resources this library has to offer. There's a senior center here too they had nice activities and stuff for old people to do. This branch was actually quiet cuz my local library is over populated with bratty kids who thinks the library is like a club. I can actually read or chill here and enjoy some peace n quiet. This is a great little library. There's not a huge variety since it's a two room library (one for…read morebooks, one for events) but the librarians are always smiling and cheerful. Living in Ballenger Creek, it's actually more convenient for me to go online and have books transferred here for an easy pick up instead of going to the downtown branch and struggling with parking. They hold a fair amount of events as well, such as story times and holiday crafts for kids. The kids area is pretty well stocked for limited space. There's a small, ok tiny, play area but the puzzles and two iPads should keep the little ones occupied for a bit. There is only one computer for patron use but there's rarely a delay in waiting for it. IMPORTANT: check hours before visiting! They are open Monday-Wednesday and Saturday only, with only afternoon/evening hours on Wednesday.

I've seen adults watching news stories on their phones at full volume without using headphones. Fortunately they have some disposable earbuds available at the front desk. I hand them to those who do not know what is appropriate behavior in a library.
