Horrendous service, my car was broke down in and the shop, I work for an attorney, my employer needed me to go to his house to retrieve a file for a client. Called Frederick Cab to ask for a round trip from Market St and Patrick St to Holly Hills and back (roughly a $35/ $40 fare) because none of the drivers on duty wanted a credit card fare NO ONE CAME to pick me up My cell phone battery died because I called back 3 times What gets worse: the next day i called the dispatch number to complain they hung up on me this is also is a pattern, the Frederick Cab company does not want any online listings that have reviews... We called last night to get a quote. Less than an hour before we were supposed to be picked up today we got a call telling us that it would be more than double because of where we were getting picked up - which would have been good to know last night. I don't know if it was an honest mistake or someone "forgot" to tell us about the extra fees, but it seriously screwed up our day and as far as I'm concerned is pretty shady. read more

Saturday night I get out of work and call for a cab watching dozens of Frederick Yellow Cabs go by as I try to wave them down. I waited 30 minutes before calling back, the phone hangs up after 5 minutes of ringing and call back again. This time a pick up and I explained that I was still awaiting my cab and dispatch says "oh my! I'll get one out to you in a minute". Another 30 minutes goes by and I'm finally able to wave down a Yellow cab. I asked them if they were busy and he said the night was slow! I called dispatch to report my complaint and I was pretty calm but completely caught off guard when I was met with anger and he managed to interrupted me every 1/2 a sentence. I thought I was the one that was supposed to be angry after waiting an hour? He said that no one wanted to pick me up because I wasn't on Market St...I was at the corner of Market and East Patrick (the route any cab takes to get on Market. Unbelievable. Why even tell me one is coming for me in a minute if no ones going to bother come at all? The cab driver was nice I even tipped the cab $5 on a $8 ride, so thankful to be picked up before trying to file the complaint. Not being picked up and the phone ringing for 5 minutes (no joke) is a normal thing I've gotten used to having to take their cabs almost every day. Save yourself the time and hassle. If I could give them a - stars I would. The male who answered the phone was very rude. He said the cab would pick me up in 30-45 min, they never picked me up. I tried to call them 4 times, 3 of those times it rang busy. The 4th time never answered. read more

I was always against UBER.... until now. I contacted Yellow Cab of Frederick via email several days ago to make certain I would have a ride to catch an early bus to Shady Grove Metro near MARC station by Target. Was advised "no problem, call and arrange whenever you want". So I called the evening before my need, and was told to call back in the morning. When I told them it would be about 4:15, I was told to call back "about an hour before that in the morning and we will see if we have a driver", but the man then finally admitted (after pressure) that he could not even guarantee that there would be a cab for me!! So I called Frederick Cab at a different number, and guess what? ....it is the same company with the same poor service. Seems to me cabs are either in the business of providing rides, or they are not. People who need a ride don't want to call back later and HOPE that a cab may be available. I'll make other arrangements for tomorrow.....and in the future. read more

Never use this service! I was stranded on the highway on the outskirts of Frederick. The rude operator told me that he had no idea where I was, even though I gave him the highway and exit number, and then hung up the phone in my ear. This is poor business at its finest. read more

Terrible people! My fiancé rides a bike to work everyday. One day he tells me how a cab driver with this company almost RAN HIM OVER! The cab driver for NO REASON AT ALL yelled at my fiancé for riding his bike as if he were doing something wrong. He goes on to tell me how this cab driver followed him all the way to work, heckling him and swerving his cab into his bike. My fiancé tried to call in to the company to complain only to be hung up on several times. Then when someone did finally take his call they couldn't have cared less! I was horrified by this! Then several weeks later, the same cab driver sees my fiancé riding again and heckles him! AGAIN! FOR NO REASON! And again, this company takes no responsibility! APPALLING! What I find even more scary is that Blaine Young, co-owner of this company, has run for several political positions in Frederick! If this company can't even run in a decent manner how could its co-owner run a city, county or state? I never write reviews, literally, I don't have the time but in concern of my fiancés safety and any other bicyclist for that matter, I had to say something. read more
