Fred Walker What can I say? Fred Walker came through for me when four other attorneys could not but who were more than happy to charge me. After five years of dealing with a contract issue and its tentacles of entanglement, I found Fred. Within a month, the issue was resolved to my satisfaction saving me $100,000 in settlement. Where I was about to agree to pay more, he recommended another $25,000 reduction. He got it. In the 24-hours of waiting, having dealt with this big corporate attorney and their...creepy practices, I held my breath hoping the deal wouldn't be kicked to the gutter as in the past had happened with my other attorney's. With a big sigh of relief, Fred resolved the issue and got the extra reduction of $25,000. Some caveats about Fred Walker. Be patient. It takes time. However, if after a few weeks you don't hear from Fred, call. He has your best interest at heart. He may ask you to refresh his memory, he has a lot of clients, but it will be the last time he asks. Talk to Marilyn about your concerns, and he'll either pick up and talk to you right then and there, or he will call you back. He does. It may not be that same day or week, but he will call. Have patience. My only regret is that he only handles settlements and bankruptcy. I could use a Fred Walker for estate planning, arbitration with county taxes, HOA issues and the list goes on. It's a tough world we live in. Some things we do to ourselves, other issues are caused by others. Oh, and Fred doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I know. I've been gouged by the worst. Horrible communication, rude staff etc. do your research and make sure is your lawyer and not his lazy assistant. I've called into the office they were condescending to me and while I was on hold and not on mute they were condescending to other people too. They make assumptions and they stereotype you because they think if you filed bankruptcy then there must be something wrong with you and not them. My husband died of Lou Gehrig's disease I didn't want bankruptcy but they sure as hell didn't make it a point to treat me different or to value me as a customer and now I'm stuck with it. read more

I'm not a hipster and had to figure out how to write these Yelp things but after my second meeting today with Fred Walker, a bankruptcy attorney, I had to take the time to pay him a compliment, and highly recommend him for anyone else in my situation. Some background - I did very well my whole life. Put my four kids through college and was looking forward to retirement in a few years and then got sick. Serious sick. The problem is that when you've been doing well your whole professional life your lifestyle matches often matches your cash flow. With medical bills, overdue credit cards, a big mortgage (though almost paid), and an IRS tax lien it looked like bankruptcy was my only option. My first meeting was no charge just to discuss the options and process. My financial state of affairs is horribly complicated.
