Going through a divorce has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. Until I hired Rishi, I felt all alone. Rishi made himself readily available and would often initiate contact ensuring I was kept abreast of potential changes to the situation. He effectively negotiated and got me everything I asked for and deserved in my divorce. He was also affordable for my budget. If given the ability, I would rate my experience far more than the allotted 5 stars. If you find yourself in need of lawyer feeling confused, overwhelmed, and unaware of where to begin, I highly recommend and encourage you to consider Rishi Singh.

Lynn Prather is an amazing family law attorney. She navigated me through two mediations (separate…read moreissues), a 50B renewal, custody evaluation mediation, and a custody hearing which ended with a Custody Order by Consent in my favor; all with great success. Lynn dealt with my bullying ex and his unreasonable attorney (both gifted with great verbosity); she listened to them to learn their few strengths and many weaknesses and used them all to help me get a better outcome for my case. Her understanding of family law, court, and the Judge assigned to my case and how to use it all to my best advantage was perfect. I have already recommended her to a couple of people and will continue to do so. For women who are dealing with custody and 50B issues: Lynn will GO TO BAT for you and make sure you stay protected AND help you protect your child(ren). I felt like she took a personal interest in my case but still remained objective, and was able to step back to make sure she had every piece of evidence and case law available that we needed to show why I was in the right.

I used Scott to handle my divorce in 2016. My ex was very difficult and the negotiations for a…read moresettlement were drawn out, through no fault on our side. Scott helped me hold strong and ultimately agree to a settlement that was fair to both sides yet was more than acceptable to me. Not only did he offer great legal advice and prevent me from just giving in to get it done, but he also helped me on the personal and emotional side of the ordeal and kept me strong until a settlement was reached. I found Scott to be extremely knowledgeable and experienced. When the ex came back looking for more (the first time,) he dismissed her demands and she went away. Now that she has come back (the second time,) he is helping me fight back hard and put an end to this nonsense. The fact that she has come back twice is a good indication that Scott's original counsel prevented the other side from getting their way. I am not sure about the earlier review, but Scott has always been very responsive and has returned my phone calls promptly. He would even fit me in between his court appearances. Scott was my second attorney during this divorce. The first one "nickeled and dimed" me for every minute but never truly answered my questions. Scott has been more than fair in terms of his fees and did not charge me to read every text or answer every call. He always provided answers to my questions and would elaborate and expand upon them and offer additional strategies. I would highly recommend Scott if you find yourself in the financial battle of your life.

Scott is not only very knowledgeable but also enjoys an excellent reputation at the Wake County family court, which is important. While other lawyers might camouflage their weakness in court by acting as very expensive therapists, Scott is focused on the facts of your case and makes sure you will get the best possible outcome. James, his paralegal, is very caring, helpful and seems to have unlimited patience. Trusting a person is hard, especially in the emotional turmoil that comes with a divorce. I learned to trust Scott and follow his lead and never regretted it standing next to him when the judge announced the ruling. Scott has passion and a very good heart. He always will be my hero.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this parent coordinator and would strongly caution…read moreothers before agreeing to use him in a high-conflict coparenting situation. From the very beginning, his behavior demonstrated a clear and undeniable bias in favor of my ex, to the point that multiple decisions he made had to be brought before the judge and ultimately reversed because he overstepped the scope of his authority. Rather than acting as a neutral professional focused on improving communication and helping both parties work toward healthier coparenting, he consistently approached every situation with hostility, condescension, and apparent preconceived judgment toward me. His communication style was often rude, dismissive, and accusatory, regardless of the facts or context presented. What was most concerning was the complete lack of objectivity. Despite extensive written communication clearly showing that I was making repeated efforts to de-escalate conflict, cooperate, and improve the coparenting relationship, those efforts were routinely ignored or minimized. Meanwhile, my ex's communications frequently contained unnecessary nitpicking, antagonistic behavior, and attempts to manufacture conflict out of minor issues, yet those actions were never acknowledged or addressed fairly. A parent coordinator is supposed to help reduce tension and encourage productive coparenting. Instead, this process became another source of conflict because of the obvious imbalance in treatment and repeated overreach. When a neutral professional inserts personal bias into already difficult family dynamics, it can create significant emotional and financial harm for everyone involved -- especially the children. I understand that not every recommendation or decision will favor both parties equally, but neutrality, professionalism, and respect are the minimum standards expected in this role. Unfortunately, those standards were not met in my experience.
